TENET Coin Charm

Neil wears a charm in the movie TENET.

Below is a screenshot from the movie.

I am sourcing the material to make my own.

The charm is a 1 Pice Coin, British India, Kind George VI, 1943. You can get them on eBay.

And from what I can tell, the thread is 6-strand cotton embroidery floss (orange color and red color).

I will post pictures when I am done.

Anyone out there done this prop?

The thread is called Mauli Kalawa, it's a sacred Indian thread. I tried a few where the yellow thread wasn't dark or "orange" enough. The most accurate I found and ended up using is:

I had sourced my coin based on possible form of the coin and what I could find on old coins database as I could not get such a high quality picture.
I am glad I was almost spot on, only issue my coin is a 1944 one...

I finished my charm.

Heads up...thread from India purchased on eBay takes several weeks to months to arrive.

And my thread started to unravel...I might untie it and twist is tighter so it matches the movie prop better.

1944 vs 1943...you were super close. Well done.

Any theories as to why 1943 was an important year...and why India? Could that be the birth year and birth county of the character Priya? Other thoughts?
