Carenix-- I can tell from your avatar you're a fan! ^_^ I'd love to see your Queen Mother, please post pics!
I think I'm gonna have a really good time at CV, it's definitely the place to wear it. If you're going to Dragoncon though, unless the costume totally falls apart during CV, you'll get to see it.
Also....I hate you for that saber HAHA. I must say I am uber jealous. I actually asked them how much an EL tenel ka was and they said they couldn't make it.
*pout* PLEASE do post pics!
EDIT: Also, can YOU solve the mystery of "wtf is that stick??" haha

Since the official images are from the waist up, I took some inspiration from a custom figure I bought off ebay:

And of course this has to be the first year since 2005 that I'm not going to Dragon*Con. :cry Ah well. :cry
I took a closer look at the Nocturne Armory saber and what I'm figuring is that its too much of a pain to work in the light and the soundboard to offer for sale on a regular basis. I noticed that the holes for the screws to put the lightsaber back together are very easy to damage if not lined up perfectly (and I'm not cranking a whole lot of pressure with the hex key) so it might be a case of they could do it, but the work is such a pain in the butt that they don't want to do it.
Also to show my uber-geekiness, the lightsaber on the Tempest cover is different from the lightsaber in The Essential Guide to the Force (which is what the Nocturne Armory saber is based off). I forget who made the Tempest saber I have since it was an ebay deal when the fifth book of the Legacy of the Force series was coming out so EU stuff was a hot seller/popular.
For the stick question, I believe it is a "traditional Dathomiri spear." Kirana Ti was a Dathomir Jedi character introduced before Tenel Ka, and Kirana has also been depicted carrying around the stick. I think that's why Tenel Ka is shown to have one, as a nod to continuity (i.e. Kirana Ti wears her armor instead of Jedi robes, and Tenel Ka continued the traditon, so she should have a stick too).

That's my logic on the subject.
