Collection update. I’ve put some of my Vader found parts out on display. A new photomultiplier tube which contains the dynodes, micro switch covers, 3M tabs, and a door latch.

Luke V2 update time!

This is an Anakin Starkiller V2 with a real clamp, a slothfurnace card, a Trooper_trent neck tape spacer and paint templates.

This hilt was assembled, weathered, painted and expertly banged around by none other than Halliwax! I’m so happy to finally have a finished accurate version of this saber in my collection. I have the MR and have had every iteration of Starkiller V2, but never got around to finishing one myself. I can’t thank Danny enough for all the time and effort he put into completing this for me. There are a lot of little special touches he added for me. Now he just needs to finish his own saber!

*public service announcement. I believe Halliwax is done taking commissions, so please don’t bombard him with requests.

Thanks Chris, and guys for the comments! Chris waited a stupid long time for this. Winter kicked my butt. I even invested in some electric heaters to try and make it so I could work in my shed

But they couldn’t keep up in the Jan,feb weather..

Though he sent me a extra set of stencils I always feel like a failure if I have to use the back up. The cold weather was way to risky to paint...

I aged it many months before winter, and when I broke it out of storage to finish I realized Chris’s V2 was the only V2 I handled where the ring section had remaining machine marks

I didn’t pick up on it at the time of the acid dipping, so I had to chemically strip off the finish, sand it all by hand and start over, I hate doing this because I want to match the age finished. Thankfully with my dipping technique, you can match the age finish perfectly (4 dips @ 5 min )

I normally have to sand the boosters on the FX version. But Chris did a flawless job sanding and polishing that up!

Another thing that totally blew my mind was Chris’s custom work he did to the FX mystery chunk, I plan on doing the same thing to mine when I have the time.

I machined up a new emitter denter jig, and new tools, if you look at Chris’s emitter the dents match the paint chips, it even has a perfect halo around it. I hope I can match this all on mine

I have to apologize again Chris for taking so long, i have close to 70 hours tied up into this baby, take good care of her I miss her already

I can’t thank you all enough for the support!

congrats!!!

holy crap, thats in nice shape too. Did not know about the retro letting up front lol
