TDK/R batsuit cage/armory display 1:1 [cage construction stand-by/making gadgets]

Unfortunately the room it was in doesn't belong to me, and the people who own it are coming back soon so I had to dismount it and don't have enough free space in my apartment for the full cage display... And half of my props are going back in boxes too I'm afraid.

I started working on mine a couple weeks ago. I had looked at this thread after I started so it seemed right that my first post should be here. So here's my take on the TDK cage

Still a work in progress, but I should be done this weekend

Absolutely stunning work ! I had to move out of the place I stored all my props, and don't have enough space for a full cage anymore unfortunately, but I look forward to your build, you seem to be on a way better start than I was !

Wow, thank you very much!!! Actually, yours inspired me to go with the more accurate look. Originally I was going with an "inspired by" design...it was much wider and had 2x4s outside of the pipes for the doors... it worked but didn't look nearly as good. Then I saw your post and saw how much cleaner yours looked and decided to start over. So really, thank you!
To be honest I'm having a hard time figuring out the right color/s for the floor... got any ideas?

From the screen grabs I have and given the environment, I was going for a concrete like colour (dirty grey) for both the top and floor, I figured it would be logical since the rest of the place is mostly all concrete.
I can try to dig you up all the references pics I had, but it will take some time, they must be on my previous computer which is taking dust somewhere right now !

quick update; I finished the main part of the construction and painting and started experimenting with the suit and props display. I need to decide how I want to do the back wall display and get going on it. The current plan is to do a combination of Arkham city gadgets (from Jawafive;) and TDK gadgets (coofunkcurly and kapow7) I'm not quite sure if those "styles" are going to look as good together as I think they will, but we'll see.

Looks amazing! Nice work! The make shift bat cave in TDK was one of my favourite ideas in the movie.

Me too, now if I can just figure out a way to make it come up out of the ground... ;) Actually, I'll be upgrading my computer soon, may be a good opportunity to recreate the computer set up from the bunker as well

Ok, got the chance to wear my batsuit last saturday, now time to get back on the cage construction ! I did make the little under-water breathing apparatus between two things today, as well as finished the display grapnel n°1, two more to do.

I'm in the safe position as you, I bought the GCFX suit not knowing their reputation for re-casting.
That said, I have one of their suits, like you...and need to make a lot of tweaks to it (I have a thread in here, just search my posts)

How are you attaching the cape?

I also noticed they shipped yours in the crappy Home Depot cardboard box I got too :)

I switched their cape for Coofunkcurly's one, which I still need to find a suitable system for, but for the GCFX one I sew snap buttons where the laces were, and glue the other parts of the snap buttons right under the carbon ridges, like in the movie. Worked well, strong enough not to loose it walking around but weak enough the detach if somebody stepped on my cape to avoid damaging anything. Or in case the cape catches fire, which almost happened that night :p

Teragon. I have been following this build from the beginning. I have been attempting build one of these. I hope you don't mind but I am using your pics as a template. I am having trouble reading the dimensions on the pics for the cage. If you could post or pm them to me I would appreciate it. If not I understand. I thought I would just ask for permission first. Great work everyone can't wait to get mine started. Thanks
