Tatooine Vaporator Fusion Generator

I saw several of these fusion generators while at Galaxies Edge in Disneyland recently. Has anyone built a full sized one? I would like to build one for display sometime.

Update: I decided to build one of these for myself. I first thought that I would make a unique one that was similar in style, but didn't necessarily match the screen used props. I also wanted to use all found parts. As I started collecting, I realized how difficult it would be to cover something this large and detailed with only found parts that look decent. I gave up and decided to do it the "easy" way. I modeled the whole thing as best as I could tell from screenshots and pictures from Galaxy's Edge. I am happy with how close it is to what is pictured on screen. After I stared at this long enough, I realized that there are five unique panels that are arrange differently to look random.

I uploaded all the details that I modeled to Thingiverse if anyone else wants to tackle making one.

Fusion Generator Tank by Jesse_M

Fusion generator tank as seen in A New Hope, at Lars homestead and Mos Eisley. Model is scaled for each square face of the cube to be 14"x14" and the rectangular faces to be 7"x14". The total height of the box is 23.899".

I have the base cube built. It is made out of 3/4” plywood. It’s super heavy and I regret using 3/4”. I should have used 1/2”. I also started printing all the detail pieces. There are hundreds....

Looks like you are off to a good start. The things in the picture with Luke look about 3 feet high without the greeblies.

Yeah, I don’t have enough space for a full sized cube so mine will be 2’x2’. The ones at Galaxy’s Edge are two different sizes, approx 2’x2’ and 3’x3’.

Excellent work! With the price of energy these days you need to work on making it really generate power.
