Cool bout to say my old pic was me at 180.
And ive gone to 170. Only 10lbs but I have notoced a huge diffrence. And its only been like a month.

Forgive me if im asking answered questions.
Ill be reading through in the coming days as theres quite a bit. Im 12 stone 1 (this being the lighter side of my 6 pound ish fluctuation). 5 ft 9. And I dont want to try and alter everything straight away. In a perfect world id be like the guy everyone was talking about in the picture just a couple of pages in. But one thing at a time eh. Id really like to loose my gut. Handles. And moobs (hate these!!!). My diet is terrible. Downloaded the myfitness app. User jmorgangrice. And immediatley some things I know such as my vitamin intakes are around 5 percent of what they should be most of the time. This does flag up and im hoping may be a cause to low energy. I work 12 hr nights and days but try and get regular sleep. Also have a 2 year old!!!
Im lost with the diet which is the main thing I know. Im bad with diet fizzy pop and pizza chips etc. Not too bad with sweets and chocolate. Have the odd bit but not regular. Its really my regular food thats the problem. I do have access to a treadmill im going to start using. But wondered if theres anything I can start right now to start shedding that fat ive had on my torso for years. Stop me from holding my gut in whenever I go out! It hurts after a while! Lol. I dont think my general frame is bad except for the highlighted points. Some muscle building needed eventually. Arms etc.
Most weeks I only do 3 shifts with an extra every third week. Theyre 12 hrs so ive no excuse for not exercising 4 days a week at least. Problem being getting to a gym etc. Will a treadmill help if I do intense 4 days a week with fat loss? Any recommendations to a plan?
Ill try and get some snaps tonight. Going to start using the app to watch my stuff. I dont think my calories are high. Theyre just all junk! But I guess ill find out soon enough!
Quickie..... I get up in the morning. Should I eat straight away. Including when being on nights? When im on days I get up about 5.30 but eat brekfast around 9

At the most basic, in order to lose weight, you must be in a caloric deficit, whereas to gain weight you must be in a surplus. Look up a caloric maintenance calculator and find out the amount of calories you should be consuming on a daily basis in order to "maintain." Then, subtract anywhere from 300-500 calories from that number to start with and that will be your goal. Track your weight, morning and night, and after a week or so adjust your numbers accordingly. Later on, what will also come into play is your macronutrient breakdown (IE: what percentage of your calories comes from proteins, fats, and carbs), but as of now, where you are just looking to lose weight, this is not as crucial. Adding any sort of cardio will definitely help, as extra cardio = extra calories burned, meaning that it will either place you further in a deficit for the day or aid in reaching your goal.
For example: With my lifestyle/activity load/etc., my maintenance is about 2900 calories, I'm currently cutting and my daily intake is around 2400.
