Cool bout to say my old pic was me at 180.
And ive gone to 170. Only 10lbs but I have notoced a huge diffrence. And its only been like a month.

Every progress is a progress. And its not so mucj about weight. Its more about the measurments. U lose fat but gain muscles so sometimes it can be u raised ur weight.

And you can be proud of every step u take.

Im not a help when its about losing fat. Sorry. As i know the belly region is the last point where the body takes the fat. I guess first is face cheeks. So just keep on going.

I guess some ppl here know more about it that i do :)

image.jpg Figured I would share this from my Instagram account. It's a great low carb recipe. I took asparagus and chicken tenders and wrapped them in low sodium bacon (yes, real bacon) and baked them in the oven on 350 for about 45 minutes. Then I just pan cooked the rest of the asparagus in a little olive oil with a Cajun rub.

Forgive me if im asking answered questions.
Ill be reading through in the coming days as theres quite a bit. Im 12 stone 1 (this being the lighter side of my 6 pound ish fluctuation). 5 ft 9. And I dont want to try and alter everything straight away. In a perfect world id be like the guy everyone was talking about in the picture just a couple of pages in. But one thing at a time eh. Id really like to loose my gut. Handles. And moobs (hate these!!!). My diet is terrible. Downloaded the myfitness app. User jmorgangrice. And immediatley some things I know such as my vitamin intakes are around 5 percent of what they should be most of the time. This does flag up and im hoping may be a cause to low energy. I work 12 hr nights and days but try and get regular sleep. Also have a 2 year old!!!

Im lost with the diet which is the main thing I know. Im bad with diet fizzy pop and pizza chips etc. Not too bad with sweets and chocolate. Have the odd bit but not regular. Its really my regular food thats the problem. I do have access to a treadmill im going to start using. But wondered if theres anything I can start right now to start shedding that fat ive had on my torso for years. Stop me from holding my gut in whenever I go out! It hurts after a while! Lol. I dont think my general frame is bad except for the highlighted points. Some muscle building needed eventually. Arms etc.

Most weeks I only do 3 shifts with an extra every third week. Theyre 12 hrs so ive no excuse for not exercising 4 days a week at least. Problem being getting to a gym etc. Will a treadmill help if I do intense 4 days a week with fat loss? Any recommendations to a plan?

Ill try and get some snaps tonight. Going to start using the app to watch my stuff. I dont think my calories are high. Theyre just all junk! But I guess ill find out soon enough!
Quickie..... I get up in the morning. Should I eat straight away. Including when being on nights? When im on days I get up about 5.30 but eat brekfast around 9

At the most basic, in order to lose weight, you must be in a caloric deficit, whereas to gain weight you must be in a surplus. Look up a caloric maintenance calculator and find out the amount of calories you should be consuming on a daily basis in order to "maintain." Then, subtract anywhere from 300-500 calories from that number to start with and that will be your goal. Track your weight, morning and night, and after a week or so adjust your numbers accordingly. Later on, what will also come into play is your macronutrient breakdown (IE: what percentage of your calories comes from proteins, fats, and carbs), but as of now, where you are just looking to lose weight, this is not as crucial. Adding any sort of cardio will definitely help, as extra cardio = extra calories burned, meaning that it will either place you further in a deficit for the day or aid in reaching your goal.

For example: With my lifestyle/activity load/etc., my maintenance is about 2900 calories, I'm currently cutting and my daily intake is around 2400.

That will make a huge difference. If you're eating junk, you're getting lots of calories, but not getting enough nutrition. It's best to eat "nutrient dense" foods (google that phase and you'll find lots of resources) so you'll get more nutrients without consuming a huge number of calories. Often people who eat a lot of junk food find they are still hungry after they eat. This is your body telling you it needs more nutrients.

I do a lot of juicing of veggies and fruit -- this gets me lots of nutrients without a lot of calories.

When you should eat breakfast depends on what your body needs. Listen to it. I work out first thing in the morning, then I eat. Most people don't do that, though. But it works for me. YMMV.

Looks like I need 1600 to 1800 per day. I guess im in the middle. Some days at my job im stuck in a pulpit. Others I do light standing for around half a shift or 6 hoursish. Thank god I have a son. At least I get some exercise when im off! Haha. Yesterday was a fail at about 77 calories under 1700. However I didnt count potatoes that I had for tea so I clearly bust it. Let alone knocked off 400. Currently at my parents saving for a deposit so get my tea already made most days. I know. 26 year old man. Ridiculous! Haha. But as I only started part way through the day i didnt add them in as todays the first day ive swapped out frosties for bran flakes. Two Sandwichs for 4 crisp breads etc.

Is it still ok for me to be on mainly carbs as long as im reducing the calories?
Just because of things like low fat noodles etc help out at work for quick low calories.

Will the weight generally come from my fatty areas? Or will that be exercise specific? Wish me luck!

1kg (2lbs) of muscles need 50kcal a day to maintain.
Thats why eg i have to get like 3000 a day due to the 1800 a normal person needs + the muscles i gained + what i need to gain more.

I hope my counting is correct :D
