Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here

Btw, this might sound like a silly question, but what kinds of work outs work the butt muscles? I really want to have a nice sculpted gluts when I wear the suit.

Wow this is a tough question that I don't have answer for lol as you may know to work out your glute you gonna have to do exercise such as deadlift, squat, or machined leg press....but because of your knee injury these exercises would be impossible.

I'm not sure if there is any isolation exercise for your glute that isn't involve legs....hmmm someone on here might know

Ahh I thought so. But you are a really great help. I feel more inspired to go through with the calorie deficit because of your support as well as everyone else's.

If anyone does know any isolation exercises feel free to let me know. I can still walk up stairs but I'd rather avoid that at the moment (until my doctor gives me the okay to go through rehab)

I've started P90x3 as soon as I got it in the mail on the 25th od Decemeber.
I took some before pictures.
Ultimate and Amazing Spider man are both listed as 5'10" and 160-165 pounds.
I'm 5'10" and a fifth inch, and 150 lbs.
I plan on gaining 10 more pounds and getting cut as well for my lats and my chest.

I'll post some progress pictures once I'm confident that I've made any progress.

I'm doing my first event in early March, so I'm trying to add 5 pounds this month and then 5 pounds next month.

I'm on a 3,000+ calorie meal plan and sticking to three types of proteins.
I'm not taking any gainers since I want muscle gains not water-weight.

I've also luckily got a nutritionist as a brother, so I've been paying him to throw me some help.

This thread and that "superhuman workout" video have been helping me get nice and motivated.

Good luck to you all as well, your progress helps my progress :D

I did T25 for thirty days, one phase, and it just wasn't doing it for me. P90x3 had been having me on my back, out of breath, covered in sweat after a double workout, around 45 minutes.
It's good for cutting and plyometrics, but not quite adequate for bulking or tension control.
For a good Spider-Man lean workout T25 should be great for you. I'm looking forward to your assessment.
Don't forget, a good diet is 75% of making strong progress!

Squats, squats, squats, make sure that you squeeze your glutes together!!!

Butt-lifts (Butt Bridges), squeeze those glutes together! If they're too easy try raising your legs off the ground so you have to work harder to push yourself up, can be done with weights resting on lower abdomen too to make it harder.

Deadlifts too to some degree... just make sure that when you are rising with the weight you squeeeeze your glutes together really hard, you'll feel it working! Still leg Deadlifts are great, they'll alter your whole physique.

Thanks man! I didnt want to get all the other things you have to for P90X. but I did get the Shakeology stuff....so that should help!

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here

Shakeology is good, although expensive.
I choose to gather my own ingredients and create my own personalized blend.
But, if you have the money for it, shakeology does boost your gains by a hell of a lot.
REMEMBER: Abs are made in the kitchen
You won't get much progress if you don't eat right.

Cheers and good luck to you!

I'll follow this religiously after I ask my physician about this work out. NO BUTTS! Thanks, Mr. Parker

What kind of lifting are you planning?
I'm interested to see what variety you've cooked up for a spider session.
Gains= high weight low reps with maxing out at the end of every session
Toning= HIGH reps medium weight and a burn out at the end of every session

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here

gains, my plan has me targeting one muscle group each day for 60 days, then after for another 30 days Ill be introducing super sets in-between each set while putting my cal into a deficit of 200-500. 3 months ago I was at 138-140 with 9-10% bf. my basic calories burned at rest are 2k so Im looking at about 2.2-2.5k cals per day. shake wise I will be using mass tech gainer and whey proteins as Ive had awesome results from them. If all goes well Im hoping to be about 145-150 lbs at 7-8% bf by summer.
im toying with the idea of throwing in spartacus circuits at the cut phase too.

Spartacus circuits during cut phase is extremely hard. Make sure you're drinking a TON of water man.
You seem to have a great game plan so far.
I'm interested to see your progress once you've competed your gains and then when you've finished a cut phase

I think I'm just a sucker for gains... haha cut phases have always been harder for me.

Wow dude going down to 7-8% is pretty extreme....your testosterone gonna drop like crazy. And I think your current stat is pretty good man, 150lb and you're 6ft tall. How many pounds are you planing to put on before cut?

5-10lbs then Ill cut. I picked up some royal sport test to use in conjunction while cutting to keep my testosterone up.
hopefully lol

Hmm so you're trying to gain 5-10lb then try to cut 5-10lb by the summer....In my opinion I don't think you even need to cut for the summer if you do clean bulk and slowly gain 1-2lb of solid muscle every month.

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here

Hey, my print is supposed to be completely sewn by tomorrow. I'm 165 lbs, quite good definition and rather strong. Problem is I'm 6'4" tall. Any tips on exercises for: V shape, chest and legs? I don't really have a gym available unfortunately. I do have a set of quite heavy dumbbells and a pull-up bar though, which help me a lot. I know I might be a little too tall to wear a Spidey outfit, but I had to give it a shot anyways. And one more thing I'm not too happy about. Right above my elbow seems to be a bit narrow compared to the rest of the arm, and I don't actually know how to "fix" this :p
