Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Shirts off Challenge continues! RISE OF THE SPIDER-MEN Sept

We're keeping this going guys. You're "after" pictures are once again your "before" now (if you haven't reached your goals). I made it Sept 1st instead so we can all report on Sundays. I think its easier that way. Let's do this!

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Shirts off Challenge continues! RISE OF THE SPIDER-MEN Sept

Once upon a time I made the MISTAKE of believing in the 'workout days', like legs day, arms/chest day cardio day etc. And the biggest mistake of all.... the so called Cheat day where you feel free to eat 2,000 calorie burgers.

Results were slow, progress was easy to derail. I tried a bunch of different routines before I found Cross Fit. And no, this is not a paid endorsement and I don't work for Crossfit. I do highly endorse them however as they profoundly changed everything for me. Crossfit doesn't have leg days and arm days. They have a full body routine, every day, and it is always something totally different. Some days are grueling, and you'll crawl, dragging yourself to the car after you are done. Some days are much easier than others, and those easy days would probably be considered torture for the average person.

The warm up at Crossfit is more exercise than most people will likely do on their own. It's fast, brutal and gets your heart rate up FAST. Having the trainers there to fall back on is great as you can't just quit because you are tired. And lets face it, in the comfort of your living room, many will quit WAY too soon because they THINK, key word here is think, they have hit their best effort. When I started, they had me doing reps that I thought were insane. I'm like are you out of your damned mind? but because this was the workout goal, I kept pushing long after I would have stopped on my own. And I was better for it. They push you to be your best, and it is worth every minute and every penny spent.

That said, it is expensive. Military discount has me paying 150.00 a month. But I go 5-6 days per week.

They are also big on the Paleo diet (Google it), you don't feel like you are starving yourself and it tastes good.

Also, I have it on good authority from someone who has done this that I know personally, Medifast diet provides outstanding results. You buy boxed meals, a month in advance, and you lose insane amounts of weight. Look at some of the video blogs for medifast progress and you can see the people changing in appearance from week to week.

Would you like to lose 60-75 pounds in 3-4 months? Not only is it possible, but it seems to be pretty common with Medifast. I did hear some of the stuff tastes pretty vile though, of course my protein shakes that I have for breakfast are pretty vile as well so......... Healthy isn't always the best tasting thing to do.

When doing your own cooking, use Coconut oil to cook with. There are tons of fat burning benefits with coconut oil.

snack on veggies, a lot. Low in calories, quick energy, lots of vitamins and they fill you up and pass through quickly.

That's alot to swallow there. I can say that I have incorporated X-fit into my workouts when possible. I hate when they want me to use Olympic rings...:/

And I have the last bit of fat around my waist in the way. Any recommendations? Would Medifast benefit that type of weight loss? My arms and legs are fit, just my trunk torso :D

rings are one of my favorites! I always like when we get a shot at those as I have taken to doing as wide a grip as I can on the pull ups.

Medifast should be perfect for you. High protein, low carb, fast fat burning program. FYI, you can buy a months worth off of eBay for almost 100.00 less than direct. A months supply is 20 boxes.

wutsup yall.. i gave myself a deadline of making myself look good for the suit. Just finished puffying and ready to send it over to el fett to add some airbrush muscle shading.. I started off with 150 lbs of barely any muscle.. Here's what i look like after 3 months of eating only chicken and broccoli and working out 5 days a week.. =D Currently weighing around 160 lbs height is 5-11. Here's a picture of me wearing the suit topless and at the gym

once i get my suit back, ill take a picture of me wearing the full suit.. Good luck to all of you out there... Continue to eat clean and work hard!

I guess it depends on your goals, the 2000 calorie burger could help anyone on a bulk and there are many bodybuilders that will continue to use 'workout days' to get the figure they want. CHEAT DAYS seem a bit excessive, but if you calculate it into your diet then a CHEAT MEAL can be very beneficial (in my opinion).

I'd agree that Crossfit will probably quite work well for anyone working towards a spidey physique.

funnaejc, WOW!!! That's exactly what I picture my end results looking like. Well done brother! Make sure you take some pics in the suit when it comes back :)

Wow funnaejc! looking friggin tight brother! I need to step up my sh* so much its not even funny anymore. I'm stuck in skinny fat mode at my weightloss goal range of 162-165 but I definitely need to tighten up. I'll be starting a new workout regimen on monday and got myself a monitor this time. Ssdothis!

Oh and I'm sending you a PM about the airbrushing. I think my inbox was full when you tried to hit me up.

While your remarks about bodybuilders are correct, I absolutely guarantee you that they are not anywhere near as healthy as someone doing a full body workout daily.

And for the record, Crossfit would be good for anyone working towards ANY kind of physique, not just the skinny lean spidey look. Want to bulk up for a Cap or Thor look? no problems.

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Shirts off Challenge continues! RISE OF THE SPIDER-MEN Sept

I'm way behind on this. Where do I start? I'm 6'3" and weigh about 200 lbs. I'm pretty slim really. I know, I'm a bit tall for Spidey. Let's get past that. Where do I start on getting into shape? I have only freeweights to work with, I'm not going to join a gym as I don't have the money for that. I'm interested in working with push ups, sit ups, running, walking, that kind of thing, and of course some weights. I don't have a huge weight selection either. I don't really gain weight no matter what I eat and I eat a lot of pizza, etc..

This is an old photo, but it's pretty much where I am right now. No real difference.

Excuse the Hanes, and the blurred face. I have no trouble showing my face online, just felt a little awkward with this sort of photo.

Egon, go to Youtube and look up Six pack shortcuts. (Another of my frequently followed routines). The trainer is Mike Chang, and he knows his stuff.
You don't need a fully equipped home gym, or need to spend 150.00 a month if you can't afford it. There are a myriad of ways to train with the stuff around you. Chang's routines will definitely get you ripped and fast.

Also, look up 'insane home fat loss' on youtube. Lots of videos for those wanting to get thin and in shape, and great for LEARNING about proper nutrition so that you can feed those muscles properly.

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Shirts off Challenge continues! RISE OF THE SPIDER-MEN Sept

First Avenger: Thanks! I will :) I'm not too worried about losing weight, because I don't really have a lot on me to begin with. HA HA. But yeah, the proper nutrition is good info. :D

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Shirts off Challenge continues! RISE OF THE SPIDER-MEN Sept

Well the Chang workout will certainly give you definition, strength and muscle mass, definitely on a budget.

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Shirts off Challenge continues! RISE OF THE SPIDER-MEN Sept

My deadline keeps getting pushed but Im seeing and feeling more results so I just keep on treading, up to about 144 lbs at 9.2-9.5% my planks have greatly sky rocketed these last few weeks from 40 seconds - to now at 2 minutes, I echo sentiments on the occasional fast or liquid days, Ive done it four times now and each time I have gotten awesome results. still trying to bulk as clean as I can to get up to 150 lbs.

Alright Im still here I've lost about 10 lbs but this past week hasn't been the best for my diet, so I gotta get back to it better also me and my girl are about to join a gym so thats a plus for me :). Also I've now wanted to add being a power ranger in addition to being spidey so I definatly got my motivation :)
