Re: Russrep Machined X men origins claws! RUN IS A GO!!!!!
MadMax,
You don't need to come to his defense. Since your not involved in running his business you can stay out of it.
If you bought in on this run and still want a set then that's how you support him, not give us your opinion of me and try to change the subject.
What I want is not the 40.00 but what I and everyone else were sold. Since I've been in from the start of this, I have every right to be rude. Don't like it, then go get a hug from your mommy and let her tell you its ok.
What makes this site (every site it seems) and this hobby dirtied is when things like this happen, and they happen all the time, more and more often
even the best prop'rs end up over their head and on the crap list because they take money before they have product and then the
buyers never see what they paid for or if they do you get nothing like what you thought you were buying.
It's bad business and when you don't run your business properly you go out of business.
Apparently that's ok to you and for some of the others, for me, its not. After 10 years in this hobby I'm tired of seeing it over and over again.
LOL that's exactly how I got into FX in the first place, because everything I was getting from makers wasn't as good as they were hyping it to
be, so I made my own pieces and stuck to only buying from other artists known for excellence. I thought Russ was one of them. Apparently not this time.
I can't understand why the rules seem to no longer apply, it seems like the level of accuracy and quality aren't held high anymore, all anyone cares about is cheap price and easy access, and if it looks somewhat like what you were expecting. The days of old where quality and reputation was king and strong business ethics are being held to by only a strict few. Either that or I've become a dinosaur with my high morals and expectations. Seems like everything is moving in that direction.
Of course I don't expect him to leave the craft, but he's in the wrong here and I'm one of the ones calling fowl. So some tuff love is what needs to be thrown down to get him to see he needs to buckle down and make it right.
And yes, since I've got access to all the milling equipment I could need and access to production made claws, I might just have to again, make something myself in order to get the quality and accuracy that was expected~ It is what it is I guess.
So Russ, please refund my deposit asap, then I can lay this to rest before everyone makes me out to be the bad guy for expecting more after almost 2 years of waiting.
