Hay Russ. This is going to be an honest post, so I would hope its not going to effect my being on the list by speeking my mind.

I just cannot go without saying something because I purchased a set of claws from somebody else that was involved in this project and they were absolutely terrible and I let it slide...

Please don't get me wrong, I really like your work and I don't for one second think they will be anything like the set i bought from (........) and I still want my set, but this project has been on going for 2 years now. Most people on this list have been on it for so long, to see even the smallest amount of progress is exciting. Unfortunately tho from what I've seen, these have strayed from screen accurate X-Men origins claws into your own personal interpretation of them. So now at this point wether polished claws are screen accurate or not, is irrelevant. There are also several other issues that I see with them, but they've all been cut and polished already.

In hind sight I think staying in good contact and taking baby steps while working together with lots of photos and teamwork would have produced what everyone was after. This project has been pushed back and put off for a very long time and it seems extremely rushed now.... Pleas don't take this as me being rude. I'm just seeing a bad business practice in not communicating with the customer base. I have the same problem with Logan's Closet.... Very frustrating....

Can you elaborate on what is not screen accurate anymore aside from the polished finish? I think you raise some good points, but im not an expert on screen accurate claws so I'd appreciate anyone else chiming in on the comparisons. Either way, we've all waited so long that we do deserve a good product in the end. I for one do not want just an "interpretation" of wolverines claws.

This project was started because someone had a screen copy of the claws and russ was supposed to duplicate that for all of us.

(1) The bottom Scandinavian grind seems to not have the ark in it like any of the claws from X-1, 2, 3, or Origins. That might be the angle and lighting in the pictures. But I'm thinking not because its noticeable in all of them.

(2) Where the claw terminates over the back of the hand seems to be square like seen in X-1, 2, For the following films they had a more pointed oval shape.

(3) There polished. The screen used claws have a satan finish.

(4) The screen used claws have a very sharp geometry. The bevels on these were rounded over during the polishing process.
I would blame the company that did the polishing for not staying on time with the angles of the blade.
The tool marks would need to be removed to get the proper finish with the stone wash, so polishing is a necessary step in the process. It was just overdone...

Ok I will post up the pic of the polished claw . This will be what the claws will all look like
I polished them to get all the machining marks out
If you don't like the finish they can be grained down to make them dull so that they are not mirror finish

If any one on the list is not happy with the look please pm me and I will refund you and remove you from the list.

If you use a very fine sand paper and grain them stright you will lose that dull finish

Magnificent! I don't mind the polished finish at this point. I'm pretty sure I can sand it down length-ways with some fine sandpaper as Russ suggested if I feel inclined to, but those look pretty good regardless!

Just waiting on the grips now. Will they be adjustable or will you need some sort of sizing from us, Russ?

Your in charge of your own thread now, so how about some real communication, photos and a timeline that can be stuck to so
we don''t feel like another year will roll by. I could be wrong, but since you just did a couple jobs to "pay the bills", that if you finished this project
and got us all our claws and the money from that could go to some bills too~

I still think they looks super good. I'm just putting it out there that they aren't screen accurate like the casted claw shown at the beginning of the tread. I'm also hoping that the pics from the eBay sale that jimmy did will help with are palm grips design.

Another week has gone bye bye and still no real updates and no photos of your work.

You said two weeks ago that you were finishing the rest of the claws and sending them for polishing,
yet we've not seen a single photo of the claws you've already cut, so as far as we know, you haven't.

So lets see some photos pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

I will get some pics after the week end. All claws that have been machined are at the polishers. I have had to have more claws laser cut as well to fill the order
