Today was a very successful days casting, a bulk layout and a low volume of needed alloy meant I was able to get 50 pieces cast, all the toes parts, one of the hip ball joints, the back part of the lower leg and the 8 pistons for around the neck and shoulders. The mold for the toes separated really nicely so here's a quick pic :)

green sand FTW !!!, excellent work, are you using any aluminum alloy or some specific? I use 6061 for special work, gives an excellent finish and is ideal for welding if you have to join or correct imperfections, beer cans are ideal and you got a good excuse to say, "I take a beer to help my project" hahaha. Congratulations, you are doing a wonderful job.-

I use whatever scap I can find, but mostly it's alloy engine parts

After working on the hip torso piston Terminator Pistons - YouTube I was down at my local hardware shop and found these stainless Steel Magnetic Door Stops and as usual I see Terminator parts.... This is what I'v come up with....
