T1 and T2 Endoskeleton Research Thread

I believe there is a papercraft endoskeleton available.

Attempted a more difficult kind of 3D modeling than I'm used to. Tried it a few times before but it never turned out great. It would probably be better to do in Blender... but I'm still not too used to that program yet. I roughed in the shapes, but my question then is: how to I go from this blocked in low-poly model to a high-poly detailed model?

Got some of the parts smoothed out a bit. Basically the center area between the two upside down L's. I tried smoothing the L's too, but it didn't look good, so I didn't continue with those.

Uncertain whether a link to this was shared in this thread. But it has a lot of good detailed pictures of the piece.

I would love to get a detailed, perfect HD scan of the neck, spine and foot from this. Heck, woulddn't say no to a scan of all the parts, but those three are my main interest if I had to settle.

Played a little with the chip models.

Normal to the left - the oversized production one scaled down to normal in the middle - and the two of them merged with details from both.

(I think I want to add the groove detail from one of the unused chip versions made for production on the rectangular area where all the square parts are on the merged one on the right, just for fun.)

Seems there is a reasonably priced XFX bust with free shipping on eBay right now. I have never owned one, but people have said it is one of the better licensed ones.

Just beware of the overpriced not as advertised skulls on there.

Hi, my Name is Manuel from Germany and I ready this Thread now the Last days and its awesome. Now my biggest question is :Is ther any stl File out now to Print an accurat Endoskeleton in 1:1 lifesize ?
Please let me know

Everyone wants the stl file without any effort, but...
If it were that easy to get, we wouldn't have to go to all this trouble.

If anyone hasn’t heard yet, The Terminator 4K (40th Anniversary Edition) has been released on Blu-ray. I checked out the screenshots, and it looks pretty good. It seems like they did the same thing as with the T2 4K remaster: scanned the film with a modern scanner, removed the film grain, enhanced the image sharpness using neural networks, added a new, finer and less prominent film grain layer on top, and redid the color correction to achieve 10-bit HDR. It may not be ideal for studying the endoskeleton details, but it’s a great excuse to rewatch the movie!

It seems that the disc also includes a lot of behind-the-scenes material about the making of T1, as well as all the deleted scenes with commentary by Cameron.

I'm aware of that and I really appreciate this thread and find the work that is being done here to be appreciated. I saw a maker called Skynet-2029 that was made in 1:4. Would it be possible to print this in 1:1? Does anyone know anything about this?

It should be possible to print that in 1:1 scale. He has different price points. Go for the cheapest $10 ones, as I think they are made specifically for printing.

There are a lot of different types out there and we don't know them all.
There seems to be a difference between the early and late shapes.

I printed one version of his model for testing, and it turned out that at the original scale (something like 1:4 or so), the model didn’t have sufficient clearances, which prevented some parts from fitting into others. I printed it on a resin printer. So, if you scale such a model up to 1:1, the clearances should fit better.
