Seems I was mistaken about there being another quarter scale metal skull offered on eBay. When checking, two sellers popped up selling the same kind of quarter scale skull... even shared several of the same pictures... so I guess there aren't multiple people offering different metal skulls.

Though, I would probably be pretty hesitant with the low feedback account.

These are getting around on eBay at the moment. 1/4 scale and look pretty neat. Bit rich though for me to be tempted.

This reminds me of a project I've put on hold for now. Not much free time, but I'll get to it soon. But here are still the old proportions that I didn't like.
There will be something to do in the autumn evenings... Wireless charging and dimly glowing eyes.

Might not be of interest, but I did a side project a while ago trying to make animatronic eyes with movable apertures inside. Worked out decent.
It uses 2g micro servos for the rotation of the aperture ring. I also started on making a rig for eye movement.

Close to getting my cave finished after a full rebuild. Lots of painting still to do but wanted to unpack some of my Terminator stuff and set up one of my cabinets. Also made a stand for my Pulse rifle. Just roughed in and will be covered in black felt/carpet to finish it off. I wanted something simple that would support the whole rifle against any damage instead of the normal stand type I’ve seen.I’ll probably put a plaque or some sort of movie still in the bottom left corner.

looks very cool, you are still missing the sideshow and an hcg in case it is a comparison package, very interesting, I see a lot of the skulls from Garlik that were identical to his scans and work here, did you buy them from him or have I remembered it wrong? and the last chrome one, is that a custom m1 or another one?

No, he didn't buy them from me. I just pointed him towards cool stuff I couldn't afford.

So top shelf from left to right is:
My T1,M1 and LFS. The chrome one on the second shelf I’m not sure of. I got it off Etsy a while ago and built it from a kit, then had my friend chrome it. The seller said it was a M1 cast but it’s not. It has more and different more accurate details. The teeth were cut out on the kit and I glued them back in. The were part of the cast.

Sitting it next to the M1 you can see it’s more accurate and not just in details but also has none of the warping issues the M1 has. But I don’t know where it comes from and the guy isn’t selling anymore and won’t answer emails.

Oh and I have a sideshow recast and a couple of other recasts like the M1 cast that is on Facebook. Good but nothing special like these ones. I used to own the sideshow chrome clean bust but I sold it as it’s not real accurate.

I hope to one day get a Icons and Timeless.

Thanks for the info, where does your T1 come from and how rare is the skul, it looks exactly like the one that Garlic showed a few times and I thought it was his T1 skull? I also saw the same thing at Worthpoint. It seems to be the only T1 with the accuracy I'm looking for and unfortunately I've never seen another one. it looks like that one but the only one in the whole world xD i need a 3D scan.....
the etsy one is perhaps an edited 3d scan of an m1 which he didn't quite manage to do

Gizmo was the one showing off that particular skull a few times. And because he was the one posting about it, and because I couldn't afford it at the time, I alerted him to acquiring the skull when it came back up for auction on eBay. T-Studio in Japan also has one, but it has had some of the grooves filled in so they could be re-carved much cleaner, which is a shame.

User HopeOfTheFuture showed off a finished one with added temple insert details.

There was also one up for auction recently which was warped.

While looking at reference I noticed that the front cover on these skulls match the original T1 sculpt look, but not the later T1 production skull look, which has an indented depression. So, the source could be directly from the sculpt at an earlier stage. And from what gizmo reported originally about the skull, then the seller said it was offered at a con in the mid to late 80's.

Contacting SWS School, we may potentially learn where it actually came from in case they know and are willing to share, since they recently were able to reveal that my foam skull links back to a T2 production made type of casting that was supposed to be used in the future war scene, but scrapped.

Oooh haven’t seen that either. Very cool. Looks to be where they were trying the skin on for the damaged T-800 at the end of T2. The skulls seem to only feature details in the parts that will be exposed.
