T1 and T2 Endoskeleton Research Thread

And to top it off, this detail is short, just like in T1 and the skull from the T2 teaser. There are more similarities, but I'm tired of comparing and drawing. :D

Interesting. My foam skull groove stops before it reaches the large "bell" shaped indent at the temples too. Seen in the last blow-up skull picture.
Yeah, I noticed that a while ago, even in the screenshots of your scan. So you've got a very interesting artifact there! However, your skull does have some differences from T1.

Can you show the back of your skull? I want to look into the notches on the occiput, at their lower surface.

Yeah. Mine is missing a lot of details. Washed out and softened. There are several indents that are completely filled in on mine - probably because the mold making it wasn't perfect and the casting used to be molded wasn't perfect.

But look at the inside surface of those indents. The back walls are cut out and some detailed flat plane is put there instead. Wonder what that is. I've not seen that detail replicated on any licensed or fanmade skull.

I only saw it in the T2 teaser, and it's very hard to see there. So far, I haven't found any more details about it.

Do those of you who have the original M1 kit have these parts looking exactly like in these photos? Photo 1 - Phantom hobby kit, Photo 2 - possibly M1.
I believe that is degraded shrinkage due to copying.
I don't have a suitable photo right now, I'll take one later.
M1 will also be re-done photogrammetrically after April.
It was 4K before, but will be re-shot with a 6K camera.

Thanks for the larger picture. I can now see what I should have done different on those nut parts of one of my sculpts. I'll redo it and see if it turns out better.

Don't forget that a neural network, when upscaling, distorts many details, some it diminishes, while others it exaggerates. For example, it can make rounded edges sharper, etc.
THIS.
Which is why I make sure to mention it's upscaled.

Even with high-res photos you have to think about lens distortion. With AI upscaling trust goes completely out the window.
