T1 and T2 Endoskeleton Research Thread

Thanks guys. The threads are taking a while because there is a lot of fiddling on the polygon level to make it nice and pretty... and then one end still needs to be fixed, because the way it twisted it left the ends straight and not rounded... but it's a fairly easy fix as I already fixed one end. Then I'll have to figure out how to make the nut part separate and have things snap together in some way that won't snap the resin.

Anyone know the owner of this piece? It's from that Profiles in History auction lot I posted about on the previous pages which was split up and sold to various buyers after that. This is one of those pieces. Found the picture on Jaz Creations' website.

It would be cool if the owner would be interested in HD 3D scanning it... and if he's not into sharing the scan, I would love just to get a 1:6 scale HD 3D print of it.

Did a quick-scan of the LFS feet. I didn't worry about getting it perfect, so I only scanned one side. I just needed the angles to match my 3D modeled feet to. Now I'm going to fuse the sections that won't ever move - basically only the tips of the toes will be able to move - and then finish modeling the ankle piece, fuse the toes to it, make the smaller pistons underneath, and finally finish the feet.

I mirrored the scan to make it easier to illustrate in the picture, so it's the other side of the castings that is showing here.

The reason why the angle on the scanned pieces look steeper is because the bottom pistons attaches further up on the connector piece compared to what I found SWS versions to do, so I modeled mine after the SWS look.

Main part of the jaw pistons updated with new measurements from the gizmo, who also helped with measurements to create the new eye model. The new ones are quite a bit beefier all-round. I thought it was only enough to fix the main piece, but all the other pieces are bigger too.

LFS altered to more closely resemble the M1 on the left, new one on the right.

What I'm seeing here is that it must have some sort of "working" piston setup, because this movement at the front of the foot would not be possible if only the toe tip and not also the upper and lower piston rod connector was able to move as well. I wonder how they did that... and it seems that the T2 feet were just locked in place... but at least in this picture... some of the pistons moved.

A little more work on the jaw pistons. Now I just need to create the screws. Or I could just upload it and then people can buy their own actual screws!? I'm sure most people would probably be most interested in the main part as all the others are found parts and it's still possible to buy them in the correct sizes. Heck... if the main part was made into a CAD model... then I guess they could easily be machined.

Oh WOW, that would be awesome. Definitely interested in the original asymmetrical photogrammetry scans.

Just let me know what you'd be interested in, in trade for those, when you are ready. :)

Will try and re-scan my parts in higher resolution and see how it goes, now that I know I can limit the triangles formed without compromising the HD detail. I need it to get sharper details. :)

I want your Endoskull scan data.
And I don't have knee parts.
I would like to trade head and knee obj data if you would like.

Thank you. Got the files and sent you the link to the agreed upon pieces in trade.

In the new year I will have to find a way to perfect my skull scan with scans from Beagle Bill's Timeless skull and gizmo's new skull, as the combination of our 3 skulls can recreate the production look.

Dear Too Much Garlic.
TMG gave me a nice Christmas present.
Thank you very much.
