T1 and T2 Endoskeleton Research Thread

The reason was that the base was deformed and detached during the process, and the supports were too thin to bear the weight, as 1/3 and 1/2 are heavier, even though they are hollowed out.
I prefer to use Ameralabs_Town.
Because it is not flat and has some height, which I think makes it suitable for testing.

Trying to align the Cinemaquette scans.

The left is my second attempt at alignment.

The middle is my latest attempt. Rotating and moving the top 4 pieces (which on the Cinemaquette statue was a single piece) to be better positioned with the bottom one and being more vertical than the second attempt.

The right one is me just playing around and moving the top three together, then move the 4th one individually, then finally moving all 4 to fit the bottom one.

Not sure which is best... but if we assume that the 4 piece Cinemaquette section is entirely accurate... then the middle attempt seems more accurate to me, even though the right one looks more pleasing to me.

Let me know what you think.

Couldn't help myself. Tweaked the middle one, one final time. Took all four top ones and moved them 0.5 to the left and now everything lines up so much better. Didn't want to snap a picture of the change, as I had moved the viewer from the previous position, so... just imagine the middle one slightly different. :)

There are two types of cable rods on this hand - the longer front ones and the smaller rear ones. Adam Savage mentioned they are radio control plane parts in the Tested Propstore auction video on Youtube, but are they still being made and whee can you buy them or get detailed descriptions of them with measurements so I can 3D model them?

Working on the T2 and later hand pistons. WIP. I have the rotate all the top "scoops" on the last 4 on the right, and then add the screw and bolt at the bottom.

It looks like they just made castings of the T1 versions and then sanded the grooves down and filled the gaps to make the ends uniform, so I can use the ones I'm working on now to roughly estimate the size of the T1 versions and add in the grooved tops and bottoms. Shouldn't be too hard.

In the T1 hand picture... I'm wondering what the parts beneath the palm are that seems to connect with the longer piston rods. I've not seen anyone replicate those before. They seem to be a perfect fit, so may be an actual radio control airplane part that connects with those hollow rods for real, and SWS just used the whole thing!?

Anybody planning on doing T-1000 badges. I still have the metal molds without number from my old run. Could also be used for other LAPD Officer movie specific badges, I guess. They are basically just wasting space here without being used.

just a few pics of my little project and how its going. Using the skynet head and a endoskeleton from I believe Djon off 3dexports. i

ll make some modifications along the way. Also, excuse the HCG arm ( I was trying to repair it after I got it for free due to being destroyed in shipping )

how do I find your thingverse uploads again? couldn't find you after I tried searching

If anyone has this 3D file and can share it, I would be grateful. The model I have does not include most of the detailed scoring lines.

My arm progress pic:
im going to replace all the hardware the metal- its so freaking fragile otherwise. Any tips on where to get the hardware online?

as far as the color goes, its an actual sideshow arm, I didn't color it. Ill be doing the touch up though. When I paint mine ill deff post it

I don’t know if the sideshow is scaled exactly as the blueprints I have, but if so I have a mostly McMaster-Carr list of hardware parts with part numbers. Here is a link to Andrew Smith's blueprints including the hardware list:
