Got more than enough interest now to do a run, so will be ordering an Unltimaker 2. Will be buying it in a few weeks time as I've got my masters degree dissertation due in 2 weeks and don't want to be distracted by the printer.

Bit of a project update. My Ultimaker 2 arrived on Thursday, so I've spent the last few days tuning it in for the best possible print quality. Just need to cut off the skirt and give it a light sand and this part will be perfect (sorry for the cameraphone picture ).

Going to put this run on hiatus for now. Morganthirteen over at PropSummit has announced his version in conjunction with Syd Mean and Rick Ross. Made me realise I wasn't totally proud of this model and I really want to rework it from the grounds up. Going to have a month off from this and then redo it to a standard I'm completely proud of, then I'll do a run of the improved model.
