As long as I will keep my web acess supplier ;-)

It's not in near future,

Merci, all downloaded and unpacked, works great.
you might want to add a translation for the RAR files, the installation
is in French, or make it a normal RAR file, I think it's safe to say everybody
has or knows about RAR files (it's just like ZIP files).

did the measuring with the laser beams create some good results ??

and now upload all the pics you took...come on snap to it :D

Xeno

was it not also possible to make the RAR file and split
it onto seperate files, without having the EXE file.
the EXE file is like sending the RAR program with it,
and in your case it's a french version :)

it's no biggy, but maybe you can tell what button
to push to get it all going.
like an image with an arrow to the right button :lol

Xeno

Just double clic on the first (.exe) and then one clic on "installer" like the screen cap show :

I unpacked the files with the exe. Now what? I don't have Nero, but I do have Roxio.
[/b]

Just take a look at Roxio´s options for burning ISO-images. Most certainly you´ll find something like "burn ISO image to DVD" or a similar option.
Google is your friend :

Taken from http://onlinepubs.trb.org/onlinepubs/burning_iso.html

Using Roxio Easy CD Creator® 5.x

Roxio Easy CD Creator provides support for burning ISO images using the 'Record CD from CD Image' feature.

1. Start the 'Record CD from CD Image' feature.
From Easy CD Creator's File menu, select Record CD from CD Image.

2. Open the ISO image.
In the file open dialog which appears, select the ISO file you downloaded. Click Open.

Note: You may need to select 'ISO Image Files (*.iso)' in the file type combo-box to see the ISO files on your computer.

3. Write the CD.
Easy CD Creator's 'Record CD Setup' dialog will appear. Click Start Recording to create the CD.

The above instructions will create a CD using the default options. If you need to customize the CD writing options, please consult Easy CD Creator's documentation.

Using Nero® Burning Rom 5.x

Nero provides support for burning ISO images to CDs using the 'Burn Image' feature.

1. Select the 'Burn Image' feature.
From Nero's File menu, select Burn Image.

2. Open the CD ISO image.
In the file open dialog that appears, select the ISO file you downloaded. Click Open.

3. Write the CD.
Nero's 'Write CD' dialog will appear. Click Write to create the CD.

The above instructions will create a CD using the default options. If you need to customize the CD writing options, please consult Nero's documentation.

No, you have to burn in the dvd video mode, with 2 folder "audio_ts" and "video_ts", then you put the result of the extraction (.vob, ...) directly in the video_ts folder, and you burn, it's not an iso image .

hope this will help

Any Mac users manage to make a DVD yet?

I think I got parts 2 and 4 to decompress OK using an older version of Stuffit Expander even though errors occured. Part 3 won't work at all though.
Part 1 is no good for me since it's a PC program file.

Are there only 3 files to put in the VIDEO_TS folder?

Chris,

I'm gonna guess that you'll need all three parts. I'm downloading the files now (on my Mac) and will try to see what I can do. I have virtualPC so I might be able to get Part one to open there.

And Dave as far as the photos are concerned, they are mainly costumes, with a few SS models and props mixed in. Not sure exactly what the Expo was displaying, but these are some amazing pics - thanks Cedric. Can't wait to see the DVD.

Well, I managed to extract the following files totaling 1.55 GB:

VTS_01_0.BUP
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VTS_01_3.VOB
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_2.VOB
VIDEO_TS.VOB

I tried burning the DVD but when I chose the folder I got the following error message:
"The source VIDEO_TS folder appears to be damaged"
I'm using Roxio Toast 7 Titanium.

I used a program called UnRaX to extract the files which seemed to work except that I received the following error "WARNING: You need to start extraction from a previous volume to unpack VTS_01_1.VOB"
Note that file is missing from the above list.

I was able to extract VTS_01_1.VOB using StuffIt Expander (976.8MB).
However even when I add it to the VIDEO_TS folder I still get the damage error from Toast when I try to burn.
Comparing it to other DVD movie files I seem to be missing a file called "VTS_01_0.IFO"

It should be a pretty small file (under a meg).
Can someone email it to me?

Thanks.

Chris,

as far as I know, the first file that has to be extracted is the *.exe -file. It´s just an archive that contains the program for the selfextraction process and in addition some data and info for the following archives. Have you tried to extract that file yet ? ZipIt for Mac should handle those Exe-files quite well when you just open the archive to have a look at it.

I don´t have enough drivespace left at the moment to download the video, damn graphics stuff is hogging up too much space :cry

EDIT : Just looked at the *.exe, and it contains the *.IFO and the VTS-01-1.VOB, the latter being marked with an arrow, looking like it is part 1 of something else, so the IFO you might have extracted is most certainly corrupt, i.e. not complete.

I´ll send you that IFO-File anyway ;)

Who is this guy - what are we downloading?

Video of the exhibit with all his buddies in the background talking and a jumpy camera or his sister in a porn video in Paris.

I think more details are needed.

Can you or someone else put up those missing files on http://www.yousendit.com/ or some other free file hosting services?
