Survivor: Heroes vs Villains Discussion Thread - Spoilers

I REALLY hope that what we as a preview for next week is simply a case of TV editing and ends up being not what we think it is. If it's real, it would be an incredible mistake and could spell deep trouble once the merge comes since it would give Russel the means to get rid of someone like JT through a blindside(who will most likely be his main challenger for the million).

I dont really follow the show too much but what is coming up next week, you guys have me intrigued.

I REALLY hope that what we as a preview for next week is simply a case of TV editing and ends up being not what we think it is.

I have a feeling this is the case. I have noticed with a LOT of shows they really hammer this with ads, making you think it is going to be something dramatic so you will watch, when it really isn't what they make it out to be via editing. :unsure

yup, my family an I are hooked.
I actually found iTunes has seasons - all the way back to Season 9, and you can get em for $8.99 a season. We didn't start watching until Season 10, so that $8.99 was well spent so we could see Season 9.

The heroes are proving why so often the bad guys win in the real world.

It reminds me of something Jack Sparrow said:

"Me? I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid." – Captain Jack Sparrow

Good episode.

What kills me is that the only thing dumber than giving Russell the idol is NOT voting out Sandra. She is a bigger snake in the grass than Russell, I mean didn't any of them see the season she was on? And it looks like she is already getting into Rupert's head next week after the merge.

Even Sandra voted for Courtney last night. She's flopping already!

I think they made the wrong vote but we shall see where this leads now.

What are the Heroes gonna say next week when they show up for the first challenge and Courtney is GONE and Parvati is still there! Will they realize that they have been played?

Sandra is definitely gonna flip. She is gonna spill the beans that there is NO ALL GIRLS ALLIANCE. And that they were FOOLS to hand over the hidden idol! J.T. deserves to go home for one of the dumbest plays ever. Granted everyone else was pretty much on board except for Candace and Amanda. At least they questioned it a little bit.

Russell can just tell them that Parvati is the only reason he's still there and that he had to save her. They had no idea what was going on on the other side so they wouldn't know. Of course they show Sandra telling them, so it won't matter what his story is then.

All Russell has to say to cover his butt is that he knows that Parvati has
an idol too! They would have canceled each other out in the end.

I can tell you that I have watched every season of this show but this is
the ONLY year I look forward to Thursday nights. This is a great season.

Although I was hoping for a big showdown between Russell and Rupert but
Rupert only seems to be along for the ride this time around. Which is sad.

Rupert and Colby were two of my favs in their seasons...but they suck this season! It's like James said, "My Superman sucks!"

Remember not even Russell knows Parvati has the idol. All they need to do is tell the heroes that Parvati had saved him so he couldn't take her out. Like it was already mentioned, the heroes wouldn't know the real story anyway. Russell needs to claim he is aligned with the heroes (which is looks like in the previews that's what he's doing) and then let one of the girls play the idol that JT gave Russell.

In the heroes minds, this is the hidden idol from the villains camp since Russell needs to claim he already played it to save his butt. And Parvati...well, as much as I dislike her, gets to do what she wants with her idol....hopefully shares it with Russell.

As far as Sandra, YES, they should've gotten rid of her! How stupid. But, then again, it's her word against everyone else's....they could try to convince the heroes that she is just trying to stir things up. If they believe Russell is the odd man out and the vottes have "appeared" to go against the guys, I don't think they'll believe her much. It'll make them think, yes, but Russell is smarter than her

It'll be interesting regardless of what happens

The last episode was so frustrating, I fast forwarded through the last 20min. ALL the Heroes absolutely deserve to go home for that bonehead move. and I hate Russell.

Russell is playing the way you should though. A lot of people get on the show and think it's "let's all play nice" . Then when they lose they cry about how evil someone is and talk about that persons' "bad morals". You don't cry foul and bash someone's morals when you lose at chess or a sport because you were tricked and outplayed.

Parvati's move was a jump out of my seat and cheer moment. I'm surprised I would actually be rooting for the villains, but J.T. deserved it.

I thought she had blown it when she shared with Amanda she had the idol, but it worked out and Amanda is a terrible liar.

Again I am struck by why villains usually win at their game and the good guys lose terribly when they try to be deceitful and/or align with villains. The only shot good guys have to win is to not fall in with villains or believe what they say. Good guys always fall back on the trustworthy aspect - even when they KNOW someone is a liar, they want to believe the bad guy is good, if he's pretending to be on their side.
