Supernatural The First Blade

its the only weapon that can kill a Knight of Hell.
I know that but what can it do to human? When i saw Blade Runner I saw Dean cut a guys head off so that mean it can kill in other ways but how does it work. off the user rage or what?

It only works in addition to the mark. Without the mark it's useless, but with the mark it can kill anything as high rank as a knight of hell, maybe higher. In regards to killing humans, pretty much everything that kills monsters on the show can kill a human, and the first thing the blade was used to kill was a human so of course it would work on regular people.

When I watched the episode dean took the guy head off.HIS HEAD OFF without that much trouble. Just went thru him like A hot knife thru warm butter. that thing is frightening.

It's the most powerful demonic powered weapon in existence that we know of. I'd be more surprised if it didn't do something like that.

I want one.:devil

Sexy. Want. XD I tried browsing jaw bones but couldn't find one that would work. I'm not crafty enough to make/sculpt one.

I've gathered screenshots, but it wouldn't be a build like for me for quite a while with what I've already got lined up. :(

Took some really good screen grabs and found a couple of excellent studio images (including one truly insane glamour shot). Did some measurements of Jensen Ackles based on a photo of us standing together - as well as various promo images - and my guestimates put the blade at eighteen inches (which, honestly, might be a little conservative - but tests of templates made it seem crazy to go any longer). After tracing the shape onto paper, wooden "blanks" were cut this morning. I'm going to try to start putting this together over the next two weeks, as Timothy Omundson (Carlton "Lassie" Lassiter from Psych and CAIN from SPN) is at a nerd con in Chicago, and it would be super cool to have him sign one (I've got a Colt signed by Ackles, a Taurus signed by Jared Padelecki, and an angel blade signed by Misha Collins).

If it looks good when its done, I'm sure I can find someone to cast it and do some replicas. We'll see. I'm not so confident in my abilities at speed.

One side is finished. It doesn't photograph well because the Super Sculpey is very thin in spots, and you just see wood grain. I've only got four days left, but I feel like, if I'm nowhere near finished, I will slow down and make sure it's as accurate as possible based on the current imagery.

For those who are interested, would you prefer separate teeth, or a one piece kinda' deal? Would you want a sculpted wrapped handle, or a real leather-wrapped thing?

I didn't finish in time for the con - my buddy who was going decided that attending the Blackhawks game was more important. That made me slow down a bit and make sure I could nail some of the really apparent details and textures. Right now, both sides are pretty much done. There will be some mild tweaking here and there, and some texturizing with Liquid Sculpey, but I think things look right. I went with separate teeth, and I baked Sculpey in the vague shapes required and carved them down to get detail - they look great but are too small and no longer imposing enough. I'm going to rebuild them and see if I can't take some photos for interested parties...

Are there interested parties...?

I did one a few weeks ago Facing Right.jpgFacing Left.jpgHeld Final.jpg

So these are some super crappy photos of the work-in-progress - especially since there are different types of Sculpey at work here and some exposed wood - but this should give you some idea of the look and the detail I'm going for:

And with the teeth (temporarily) in place:

Upon further examination, these pics are MISERABLE - but I didn't want anyone to think I'd stopped working on the project. In point of fact, with school done for Summer, I should be able to devote more time to finishing this thing up (and I had it really close, but after my self-imposed deadline ceased being an issue, I reworked a lot of it to make it more accurate).

I think it looks great so far and will look better when the color is right! :) Can't wait to see how you do the handle, I hope its leather.
