Supernatural - The Colt

Looking great. may I ask how you got such a realistic blued steel. I hope one day to cast something. and the only thing I like most are guns....

Awesome work on this....

edit with one more small question. was casting the cylinder tough?

Cold cast nickel and black dye. And yes, the cylinders are VERY difficult. For the cold cast guns I threw out eight for every one that was usable.

I've pretty much finished up my PESOB Colt, and really this is a kit any Supernatural fan needs to have. The only thing I haven't done yet is to permanently glue the barrel on to the frame. I am thinking of waiting on bullets to load it up first.

I don't have a great photo booth setup, so a bit better pic of the grips.

Well I have to say the kit pretty much builds itself. The PESOB really just needs a little polishing and assembly, with a small touch of some silver paint to be applied. The grips are a bit more difficult, though I had some help getting the faux wood grain paint.

Woah!! How did I miss this post? The bullets look great as usual!

Kerr Avon - Great paint job. Looks fantastic.

Hey Ozy, this thing is fantastic! One question: did you have to modify the cylinder? I've only seen the paterson offered with a cap-and-ball setup. Or did the one you were loaned already have the proper cylinder??

That gun is only made as a cap and ball, so yeah I had to modify it, same as the prop guys on the show had to.

Some dude owns a real Colt Paterson with the correct factory engraving, and he mailed it to Ozy in pieces. Ozy did a cast, then removed all the trademarks, added the Latin and modified the cylinder to create a master.
