Supernatural 1967 Impala Conversion

Here is what I've got, just can't figure out how to get the pedal to work with it.

Here's my pedal set up. It looks pretty much the same as yours. Like I said I've never had to adjust mine. If you look in the diagrams I posted you'll see in #2 the accelerator control rod lever. I believe that should adjust the pedal position. The top of the pedal just sits on the pedal rod and is held in place on the bottom by the two pedal sockets that are attached to the stud ball ends that are fasten to the floor panel (see diagram #3). The return spring on the engine puts tension on the whole set up and holds the rod up until the pedal is depressed.

If anyone who's done this can correct me. Since I've never had the necessity to do this myself.

Thanks for the info. Just seems like mine is very close to the firewall. Might just be over thinking it.

FYI, that radio is up to $102.50.

Spot on and matching speakers to boot! It's funny how some obscure radio made back in the early 80's is still floating around brand new! When I started looking I thought I would never find one!

Of course I thought the same thing when I went looking for one of this these. Same cooler used on the show. Had to have it shipped from Canada.

I'm still looking for radio if anyone sees one for realisitic price. How much do the coolers go for?

Just finding a cooler like this for sale is quite a feet. They quit making those babies back in the 60's. Search the net or have good connections like scornell1 and hope for the best.

Thanks man I have tons more heres a few videos of the prop collection, also some progress on my impala.

Scornell1 your the prop master!!! Do you have any links to where you got your stuff?

I see your using a Caprice for your Impala. Looks great!

Since your seem a man dedicated to perfection. I'll tell one thing that out of all the Supernatural Impala clones that no one has gotten right. The valve covers used on the Impala in the show. Well I should say from season 3. The only real good under the hood shot of the engine. I've seen old style vet/camaro covers used and other various of covers close to the ones like in the show. After looking at that clip several times and doing a little research. I've come to the conclusion that the covers used for that shot are cal custom aluminum 9 fin valve covers. The emblem on the valve cover towards the back was the clue. The under hood shot also showed what distributor, plug wires, carburetor, brake master cylinder setup and air cleaner was used. Of course it could of just been a prop setup shot for that scene.

Maybe someone else has a different opinion on this. I would be interested to see what they think on what valve covers were used.

Theyve used several different valve covers over the seasons depending on which car is shown or clip....but I am using the ole cal custom ones on mine.....that was originally used on the cars stunt car.....but of course the hero car now itself also has changed valve covers as it went from a small blck to a big block 502...so whichever one you like...as long as you can show its correct from a screen grab....its accurate...

I also have the 9 fin cal custom value covers for my Impala bought them for 20 bucks at a garage sale

I also read the article about the recent added 502 big block engine to the hero car. I guess it comes down to making your car like the one actually used or how the car is portrayed on the show. I know I don't have the money to drop on a 502 big block. Nice to have, but then your throwing your money into the gas tank. The 327 is more my choice built to about 375 horse power with cam to get that classic muscle car sound. I would also like to take my Impala on some road trips and the big block wouldn't allow for that.

Anyone have any photos of the Supernatural Impala's engine compartment from the show? I don't recall actually seeing under hood shots of the engine in to many episodes.

Maybe someone has photos of the 502 in the hero car too. Please post them if you do.

Also anyone else would like to share photos of their engine setup. I've seen some posted before and I'm always amazed on how much better they look after they're cleaned up.
