Supernatural 1967 Impala Conversion

Wilson, if you do not mind, that would be amazing. I'd be happy to compensate you for gas and your time. Very much appreciated and very generous of you!

Don't get too excited. I emailed the guy from craigslist and still haven't heard anything back yet. Will keep you posted.

How'd it go?

Waited for an hour and the guy never showed. Luckily I went to a local place for dinner. Just got a drink when the guy text me and asked if I was on my way. Told him I waited for an hour for him to show. I said, I'll finish my drink and be there in 20 min. Met up with the guy. Took some photos and looked the car over. The typical rust in the typical spots. All can be fixed with patch panels. Trunk floor was pretty gone, needs a complete floor pan. No frame rot that I could see. Interior was all intact. Ash tray missing and had the wrong steering wheel. Steering wheel was also in bad shape too. Seats were in good shape along with rest of the interior. Non-AC car. The sweat thing was she was still sporting her original matching number 327 engine. Made me a little jealous. Sent photos to dommateo. Seller and buyer both asked me about the selling price. I said, you guys have to work that out. I'm just here to look at the car. Overall the car was solid, needs some work, but completely fixable with some TLC. Matching number car is a bonus!

Could of bought the car myself and sold it for more money, but to quote the character Dean ”I'm not a ****** bag”

Was happy to do the favor. Were all hunters here. Hunting for our dream to have our own impala!

Very grateful that someone was willing to do this. Another opportunity for me to "Pay It Forward." Car looks pretty good and I spoke with a friend who works at a body shop and got some opinion on it. I left a voicemail for the owner yesterday and am waiting to hear back. Hopefully I will this afternoon. Maybe I'll shoot him a text this evening to make sure he got my call if I don't hear anything.

Wilson is a gentleman and I appreciate him doing this. Sorry for the inconvenience and delay in the owner's arrival.

I shall keep everyone posted as soon as I know what the plan is! Cheers!

Good luck my friend, hope to see you in the impala owner family soon.

This forum is getting a little quiet. What happened to all the updates? I didn't realize until I bought and started working on my impala how much fun it was. This is a must read for any restoration to supernatural. jpeg2.jpg

I actually like this color. The interior in in great shape. The only problem I'm having is the gas pedal. The metal accelerator rod seems really close to the firewall area. Is there a way to adjust it to come out more so I can get a pedal that will actually push it. I'm not sure if it's in the right spot or not but seems to be really close to the wall. Any help or advice?????

For anyone interested in the radio for your car there is one on ebay. VTG 1999 Rampage Audiovox AV-2000CS AM/FM Car Radio Stereo Cassette Player Current bid $30

Haha, some dude's going to get a bidding war on what he thinks is some random old cassette player. Will be fun to see what it fetches.

Here's the link for the lazy: Vtg 1999 Rampage Audiovox AV 2000CS Am FM Car Radio Stereo Cassette Player | eBay

There is a difference is between the actual model they use (AV2000) and this one. Buttons on the upper part are not there on this model. Its great if you want something close but its not perfect. I bet that guy is going to be like crap I should have put a reserve on it lol

I've never had to adjusted my gas pedal. Maybe this will help. Maybe you could post a photo of the problem your having. Having a factory assembly instruction manual helps.
