I have started a subject delta build asa way to push my skills and expand my knowledge on different build supplies. I am a trainee prop maker by trade and i love doing it and love my job.
I started with a pepakura base, i have never used it before but it seemed fairly straight forward

The pep work came together after about two nights work.
The next step was that i fiberglassed the whole thing. I used chop strand and polyester resin.

As you can see it had many fasits and i didn't have the money to cover it with an inch of bondo. So my next step was expanding foam. I covered the helmet in it and patted it down with wet latex gloves on. Once it was cured i started carving using a razor sharp olfer knife.

Once fully shaped, i paper mached it.

I have completed the paper mache and am currently trimming the helmet and adding all the bits and pieces. Once that is all done, i will be laying fiberglass on it and then digging the foam out. Its known as the lost foam method.
I will keep this post updated as best i can. This will be an interesting challenge.
