Here goes, just before the weekend....
4th update.....
I made the wing from 3mm thick styrene, and already engraved the positioning outlines for the detailing to go onto the wings. As i want to cast the upper and lower wing as seperate pieces, i'm also modelling them as such.
The top wing is hanging from the sec. hull. The lower wing has the renshape/chemiwood corners added..
I want to cast up both in epoxy fibreglass, to make them lightweight and hollow, to allow for the armature to go up the wing as well. The armature will support the nacelle directly, so there's no stress on the epoxy.
I compared the setup in the last pic below, with all available pics of the studio-model. And it did give me the feeling both the shape of the sec hull (including the neck), and a small section of the wing need to be reshaped.
Gary Kerr is working on that exact info right now. He even consulted with Rick Sternbach on the matter. For those that don't know, mr. Sternbach designed the C.
