Just a bit of fun (and must be well known I'm sure) last night's movie was Star Trek II Wrath of Kahn and I noticed the matte painter having some fun with the Genesis Cave reveal. I don't know whether it is intentional or just foliage that looks that way - but now I'll never unsee it.

I suppose it’s meant to be representative of “From death comes life” that was overall theme of the Genesis concept?
