Steel? Aluminum?

Hey Gang, just got my grenade from Russ....looks great as all his parts do,but I'm afraid he sent me aluminum by mistake. I juist want to clarify before I continue with today's depression.
Now it's very light in color, light weight and a magnet does not stick to it. Aluminum right?

JFYI, there are grades of stainless steel out there that are non-magnetic too.. but if it's lightweight then it does sound like aluminium.

...and these would have been normal mild steel.
