Hi all im starting a bowcaster. I have been searching the forum's alot of great info can be found. Trying to find all the parts. So far i got a bow. Knobs , scope and sling will be in next week . Ill hollow out the stock and in the front . Need to find missing parts a barrel, barrel sight , and the middle scope has a clear plastic piece on the end. If any one can give a hand in the finding the missing parts it would be appreciated. This is the start of it

I think the one they used originally was a cheapish 70's cross bow? and the stock was a flat metal cut out?

I never looked that hard, need to,if I do I could probably identify the crossbow.

But that one looks good, keep at it.

On the middle scope it has a clear plastic piece on the end thats what im looking for the not scope itself

I'm looking at film photos, looks like they packed two scopes together:

Or do you mean something like this:

I know what what the bottom one is,the top is a cheap airgun scope.
Ether way I can guide you to both items.

Hi Krull

Do a search for wuher da brewer´s BC thread.
He accumulated a lot of information and guidance for your own BC project!

Huntman has already been in touch with me. Here are the links that helped me build mine and a link to my own build. Maybe this is the impetus that will help my friends Marcus and Markus revisit their recent bowcaster builds. Markus showed me an area of mine which needs improvement, something I overlooked.

Hey Evan

I´m sorry to say that my BC is put on hold until I receive better references for building the add-on parts, such as the front-sight, the sideplates etc. :unsure

Cutting the frame of my Horton safari is pretty much done, but might need some adjustment when/ if I proceed.

Until then I have to stick with my "old" Barnett Comanndo based BC...not über-accurate, but nice ;)
