StarGate rebooted trilogy?

This is disappointing. I would rather see sequels that continue after Universe, or better yet MORE UNIVERSE. I don't particularly care to see more SG-1 movies because RDA is..... well, a little less O'Neill-shaped than he used to be.

Wow I checked out some pictures of RDA and not looking like he did. He's a lot older , so of course , but he does not look well , not just older.

You could catch a glimpse of it in his last appearances on SG-1 and really see it happening in Universe. I saw him in a cameo in another show recently and just thought to myself "That's it. No more SG-1 EVER."

Raising Hope?

I saw him in the MacGyver car ad and was shocked to see how big he got. It was so out of the blue too, hopefully it isn't anything health related as he was a big hockey guy for a while.

They could also continue SG-1 without RDA. Ben Browder did a good job after RDA left :thumbsup
Or just have RDA be invisible again :lol :lol

I like Ben Browder, but had a really hard time getting through the last 2 seasons. The quality dropped a lot and the Ori felt like a really forced way of continuing the show after they ran out of ideas.

SG1 and Atlantis was probably the only sci-fi I truly ever cared about.

To start from the beginning. To see all the original characters recasted, would hurt. With all the remakes and reboots it shouldn't come as a surprise I guess.

That's a really good point. It's one thing to reboot a franchise with a couple of movies. This would be rebooting 17 seasons and 2 movies.

The last episode of Stargate Atlantis is on tv tonight,i'm gonna miss it,as it ended late 200 i think thats the one they should revive,no ones too old or out of shape,....yet

I think this could be really interesting. There was a decent series of books that were released after the film that carried on the story of the film independent of SG-1. I remember reading somewhere that the books were more what the original creators (Emmerich?) envisioned. Having just checked Wikipedia apparently these books were based on ideas they had for film sequels that got canned. Having said that, seeing a different cast would be a shock to the system, but if they want to continue the story now, they don't really have a choice. I'm sure the cast of SG-1 probably upset a few of the film fans back in the day as well.

Any way they do it it'll be bittersweet bringing back any stargate movie/tv show.

As far as RDA, it's been posted in a few places he has a knee problem..... between his daughter missing him and that, those were the main reasons he stepped away from the show and did cameo/guest appearances here and there. So my guess is he isn't anywhere near as physically active as he used to be due to the knee issue, and hence the weight gain.

It wasn't all that long ago that there were rumors about making sequels to the film, essentially ignoring the series, like benvan mentioned. While that seemed a bit odd, I wasn't against it by any means.

Not really that interested if we're never going to get the SGA movie wrapping up what happened with Atlantis on Earth.

I would be excited if it was SG-U, SG-1 or SG-A and in that order. While I like Emmerich's original Stargate movie. I love what Jonathan Glassner
Brad Wright did when MGM handed it over to them.

And seeing that Emmerich hates what they did with the TV series to his baby there in no chance that we will see anything that we loved from the 3 TV franchises.

I am sure if it comes to fruition I'll give it a shot. But I have a bad feeling about this. I don't know that this can be a good thing. I would much rather have Universe back. Just as they were catching their stride they got the ax! :cry
