My personal KR kylo saber that I use for trooping (it’s installed as well)

Sure! Just ask which one you want to know more about... I’m happy to share what I know!
What's your method for the damaging? It's super clean. Do you do the toothpaste/ mustard method? And what do you for your "paint flecks"? Do you use an older brush or an airbrush or something else? And last one, what's your technique for the heat weathering, like on the death trooper blaster and the Kylo saber? Thank you for the reply!

For the scraping, I use liquid latex. I use a variety of airbrushes, spray guns, and cans to paint all my stuff.

For the heat burns, that’s all airbrushed on with acrylics. A lot of it is simple acrylic inks with alcohol splatters on top.

Great work! I really like the chipping effects.
Thanks!
For those interested, the “chipping” on my mando pre-beskar armor and on my clone trooper helmet are actually not real chipping, it’s just applied over everything with a brush. You technically “could” do real chipping for Mando’s armor, but I don’t think the real one was done that way so there’s really no point.

Repainted all my brown mando armor. This is obviously not the only pieces, I repainted the other pieces too (except the tan shore trooper pieces, I liked those).

Here’s a cool pic showing the base color of all the red/brown/orange pieces. All done by me and just achieved through simple oil weathering.

0C4AA8E9-C7E3-43BB-BFEF-E48DA56D7134.jpeg

did a test paint up on a cheap resin mando helmet I have (NOTE: THE CHEEKS SHOULD BE A GREY SHADOWED COLOR AND I DID NOT DO IT ON THIS TEST HELMET). This was mostly just practice for my clear coating and how dark I want the helmet with alumaluster. I got two drips so still gotta practice some more, but a nice test before I paint my EFX.

Nice stuff, man :D (y) ...like the woodeffect on Rubies Mandoblaster.
Thanks! That's all thanks to Mr Mold Maker , he posted a tutorial he uses for a "Tumbler" off of youtube in the Mandalorian Reference Thread, and I really dug it. That's all that is, simple rattle can tan with some acrylic inks applied with a chip brush.

Amban Rifle stock is almost done. Bought some cheap lumber at Home Depot since I had never worked with wood before and needed something kinda easy to sand. Turned out really nice, I think. Checked the fit this morning before sealing with polyurethane and it’s perfect.

It's a little smoother than those last two pics now. The polyurethane dried and so I went ahead and sanded it down and then put another thin layer on it.

So I posted a repainted Boba helmet I was working on not too long ago, and honestly, Im going to end up repainting it. It’s for a client of mine and he and I have been trying to figure the colors out for a while. After I got my own person Boba helmet in from Maxi Jazzmx, I went ahead and started testing my new paint ideas out on it. Here’s what I’ve got.
