Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Pre-release)

:D Whatever. I never did see Solo because it didn't offer anything new to the character that I didn't already know by watching A New Hope. I haven't seen the Mandalorian either. Never saw Clone Wars. Never watched Rebels.

That seems harsh. Shutting out all new Star Wars with out giving them a chance? You can't say you hate Rebels or Clone Wars since you never seen them.

I know I dont care for the two because I gave them a chance. And I didn't care for Solo because I had that mind set. I eventually saw it and LOVED it.

I'm saying it's not fair to judge a book by its cover!

You say you're out after 8 yet you're still here, debating or better yet complaining. You're not done, emotionally, with the trilogy.

Yeaaah, but you can kinda tell if something just won’t appeal to you. The visuals I’ve seen, the lines of dialogue spoken, and the likely directions that IX is taking don’t seem like they’ll be good to me. And I don’t really care how good people think Rebels or Clone Wars are, they didn’t really look good to me. And I did end up seeing some of both, and I was right. Not for me.

And he just likes talking Star Wars

I've come to learn to never trust trailers, less disappointment

I was out after 8. No need to see the Emperor again after he died in Return of the Jedi.
Because dying in Star Wars means you can't make a reappearance?

Seriously think about this, of 4 Force sensitives that die in the OT, 3 of them show up again before the credits.......

I never said I hated Rebels or Clone Wars. I just never watched them. Solo honestly didn't interest me so I didn't bother watching.

I saw TFA and liked it when I saw it initially but it would all hinge on 8. I saw Rogue One and thought it was ok. Nothing really special and again it didn't add anything new or meaningful to the series that felt necessary to know. I saw TLJ and nearly walked out.

It's (sadly) taken me this long to realize I only like Star Wars, Empire and Jedi.

i believe ye...wink, wink...nudge, nudge....

Believe what you want.

I'm still attached to it emotionally. Clearly. I'm not delusional. Or maybe I am. Though no more delusional that anyone else here. I just wish that if they were going to continue making these that they would have handled it with more care.

Complaining, or participating in a discussion?

I thought this was a discussion thread.

I mean sure, they can do anything with the story. It doesn't mean it's a good choice. Having Steve show up as a ghost would make more sense, but I doubt that's what will happen. This is one of the issues I take with it from a writing standpoint though if they go that route. If a ghost can interact with the physical world (as established in TLJ) then it begs the question as to why they have not intervened in the past to help shape events?

To me that opens up all kinds of narrative problems.

I suspect that 9 won't change many people's opinions on the matter. If you are willing to settle for mediocre Star Wars, more power to you. I just expect more.

Hey, I'm a card-carrying member of the "Never Watched Clone Wars or Rebels or The Mandalorian or Solo" club too. :p No ill will, just zero interest. I'm a monogamous fangirl swan with a one-track mind interest in the core Squad™ of the OT, lol. And no, I didn't watch TLJ either.

i'll believe what i want regardless...wink wink

Obviously.

If I COULD let this go so easily, I WOULD have by now. It's like telling a person with anxiety that it's all in your head, get over it. Easier said than done.

Yeah. I care. More than I should. Duh.
