If you told me 20 years ago that I would be more excited about an Avengers trailer than a Star Wars trailer I wouldn't have believed you. Yet this is the world I now live in. Trailer did nothing for me. The title did even less.

OK. There were some nice touches and a few surprises in there. I liked seeing Lando and the Falcon (with dish) back together. And that OTHER dish in the water. Plus the laugh.
On the negatives that terrible yellow slug creature that looked like it escaped from a bad saturday morning cartoon was shown to be a real thing. And I'm not keen on the little rat wheeled robot side kick.

Still doesn't prove that the Emperor is alive. All it probably was, was that Ian is at celebration, JJ thought "hey what would go with the teaser, and really hype people up?"

True, true, and fingers crossed, but these new films borrow heavily from the old stuff.

I doubt that he's just a bit part. Remember, he's the link from the prequels through to this one, so his appearance is likely to have some strong and deeper meaning to this and across all three trilogies, given the effect he has had on the Skywalker story. Whether he is alive or more likely a force ghost of some sort is well up for debate.

I'm very happy with the trailer,....it feels like Star Wars,....has the same energy as TFA trailers

So they're pretty much mining the Force Awakens art concepts for ideas. That's the Death Star dish the group is looking at from the grassy plain.

DS 1, which means the planet is Yavins moon, or DS2 which means it’s Endor. Any speculations?
