Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Pre-release)

Makes total sense to me. Force project yourself into one place, put on a real robe over your force projection, then force project yourself into another place with a robe made of the force. I mean, who the hell can force project two robes at once? That'd be taking things a little to far. :p

Admittedly I was being a bit smart-assed about it, but, a scene with rain had like one drop make it back to kylo while the rest didn't. Kinda sorta the same thing as the robe...or, the fact that the falcon dice were still on the ground in the bunker after he'd gone, both from Crait and Ach-To.

The only good Star Wars movies out there have Stormtroopers in it not clowns (that was intentional) or first order troops what ever they are - simples!

Unconfirmed (obviously, this early), but someone purporting to work on posters and packaging and other such materials, and who thus has early access to principal photography reference has the following spoilers about Episode IX...

Kylo's look has "matured", from a more regal and silver-trimmed costume to a more slickly groomed appearance to the Eyes of the Sith or whatever they're called.

His helmet returns, in a way, being the helmet of a unit of red-and-black Stormtroopers attached to him.

We finally meet the Knights of Ren, who are all women.

Rey has also matured and formalized in appearance, looking more knightly, and having repaired the busted Anakin 'saber into an unstable crossguard 'saber like Kylo's.

Finn is described as wearing a vest, carrying "a big-ass rifle", and having a bunch of grenades and other hardware on him. Poe is described as looking very jungle-ops -- unshaven, dirty green outfit, etc.

I am a huge JJ fan, always have been. I seriously can see how anyone can bring this back..

I’m not being a negative nelly.. I just seriously sit back and try to imagine stories that could save it and really can’t think of anything

Rey beat kylo twice.. so now she’s going to beat him again?

I would have loved to see Luke have a wife.. and him going into exile because his padawans, wife and daughter were slaughtered.. only for us to realize his daughter was dumped off on jakku by her crazy cousin who lead a army of dark knights into Luke’s temple to slaughter everyone and he couldn’t find it in his conflicting heart to kill his own cousin..

That was my thought going into TLJ.. now I don’t know or care with this new trilogy goes.. and I was such a HUGE supporter of it.. now I don’t care

Stopped reading the books, stopped buying the comics. I refuse to give Disney any more money until they sit back, and remove the politics out of Star Wars

That’s why I watch Star Wars to begin with.. to forget about on this conflict in the world.. now we got all these hidden messages..

This is the way I feel. I’ve generally liked anything that JJ had done, including “Lost”.

It took a little while to get used to the ST but I really like TFA and was excited for the new trilogy. TLJ was different in every way and seemed completely disconnected from the movie and the franchise it was supposed to be a sequel to. It turned Star Wars into a comedic parody of itself that played out like a cartoon caricature of what it should have been. After seeing it, I lost interest in Star Wars as a whole for a while.

With JJ taking the helm for IX, I’m pretty confident he’ll try to bring back the ST from way left of center. He’s got so much backtracking to do so we’ll see how it pans out. I’m just not very confident I care much anymore about it anymore TBH.

Even after the travesty of Attack of the Clones I cared about what happened next. In fact I've always cared about the next chapter. It's quite amazing that EP 8 could completely derail my interest in EPIX - that's a real feat I can tell you. Who knows how this disconnected piece of story telling will end. I wish I cared.

One thing that is very clear about this apparent very last installment in the skywalker saga. That being all skywalkers will perish in one way or another. If they don't then it is obviously not the end of the skywalker saga.
With all that is wrong with this Disney trilogy I find the most glaring problem being I don't know or at this point now know what Kylos motivation is. His deep hatred for his family and Luke it makes no sense. Flat out murdered his father and no real reason given.

Say what you will about Lucas but to me he kept me interested even through some fumblings with the prequels it all made sense at the end.

*Most Importantly the story had a true and moving ending and reason why. That is why I loved them so much.

I see that JJ tried to set up something that could have been well liked and enjoyed if it was proceeded in 8 to all be connected.
This is the Skywalker family story after all. For that two bit no talent hack of R Johnson to be handed the Golden Baton to carry on and add to the wonder of this beloved Universe Far Far Away and ruin everything swiftly in one film is the saddest thing this franchise could have Ever asked for.

I wanted to care, believe me I did and I struggled to do so with TFA but I did care to only be so very let down more than I could have imagined.
It is not Star Wars to me. To me from what I am seeing it is just a vehicle to demise and destroy almost every one of my beloved OT Heroes.

So sad now that they continued the saga. The end of the OT left me with such an upbeat and happy feeling. To me that is the true end of the Skywalker Saga. Disneys poor attempt at a continuation served nothing but to take away the love of the franchise we all grew to love and shove this new Meaningless poor, actually zero character driven nothingness.

I like the new trio of heroes but they went no where with them. Sad because Rey could have been amazing. Never liked Kylo, not from the minute he showed up onscreen. The whole wearing the helmet for no reason at all is so very childish and had no pay off what so ever.

The worst has to be R Johnson blaming his failure on the Real Fans love of the Franchise. Via name calling, telling people to grow up. R J you grow up.....better yet get a clue what the Star Wars Story is about. Guess what, he could not miss the point any more in his childish barbs. Majority of us Love the OT till this day because it meant something to us, whether we loved it with family, friends or even on our own. The OT movies were a truly fun exciting escape for many. After all. Our main OT Hero Luke Skywalker himself said he " Fundamentally disagreed with what R J did with his character )

Like many here are saying. It's over. It actually has been since ROTJ and what a wonderful world it is once that is fully realized.
