I don’t know, somehow I have a feeling that over time we’re going to be seeing more Star Wars, not less.

Yeah, but it wont be from the fools and cultural vandals that tried their very best to ruin it. All the ones that have barnacled themselves to it recently like Reylo`s and the so called woke will leave it as fast as they leeched on to it. The one thing that has brought joy back to the fans of Star Wars is a direct response to the things that have seen each movie make less and less money with every outing. I give you The Mandalorian.

Take a back seat Kathy.

You can try and play semantics till the cows come home but the video in question and I could list another 5 different ones more than eloquently highlight just how pathetic, moronic and utterly ridiculous the series of events play out in TRoS. Watch the video and highlight incorrect observations with counter points and I might take you seriously.

The one piece of exposition the world let alone this forum is asking for, despite one member actually stating that it isnt important to the plot, cant be explained because it cant be explained.

In regards to the snowspeeder and the AT AT, it managed to destroy it after it was brought down with a crashing thud, you can even see the entire framework of it shudder when it hit the ground. Are you actually telling me that it wasnt compromised in some fashion after that? I have no idea what you are talking about in regards to tractor beams and how they relate to the OT? Exactly in what context are you suggesting that everyone use Ion cannons? The one time we see them in the OT they were perfectly implemented for the scene it was in. As you can see, they are a purely land based weapon.

Not for the first time you have tried to use examples from the OT to lessen the impact of utterly ***** plot holes from the ST and once again you have utterly failed. And I see that in the time I typed and posted this, others seem to follow blindly in your footsteps.

I'd be curious to know what's your top plot hole from TROS.

I'm not saying it wasn't damaged. But armor plating sure seems largely intact. The stuff that stops blaster bolts from getting to the insides.

ISDs all have tractor beams, yet somehow 3 of them can't nab the Falcon. But again its minor, the ship is small and would be hard target.

Ion cannons come in all shapes and sizes. Small handheld versions used by the Jawas. Massive ship mounted versions like the Malevolence. Turret mounted versions exist on the Xyston class.

Why don't you show the shot of George and Kathy drinking coffee and laughing like old friends?

Im still waiting for you to list one thing from the OT that is as glaringly ridiculous as the low IQ ***** we get from the Disney trilogy that isnt a complete and utter stretch and failure after numerous attempts, if you can manage to do so, I will indulge you. Oh, didnt the speeder hit the AT AT at the neck, the most vulnarable part of the whole thing?

Why don't you show the shot of George and Kathy drinking coffee and laughing like old friends?

That would be low hanging fruit, I would of course include a caption of " You still make the best coffee in the business Kathy".
Keep bringing a butter knife to a gun fight Joker, in between bouts of tedious repetition, its sometimes fun.

Ahh, the Dollar Store troll who was laughed out of this thread a week or two ago returns with another zinger. I swear there are members of the Lucasfilm story group masquerading as members here.

No, its nothing like that at all.

There is already a member who endlessly tries to use early ideas that were never realized in the final product as some kind of justification or explanation for inconsistencies in the Disney trilogy and frankly its tiresome and redundant at the very least. Until recently, everything thats been built on and expanded upon has been done so carefully, thoughtfully and above all reasonably. I`ve yet to see one properly explained or valid reason posted here or anywhere else to doubt that.

That's weak sauce man. It's the same thing.

When ANH was being filmed, Luke and Leia were not related. Hell, look at that kiss in ESB. Lucas wasn't even sure THEN.
That was changed in subsequent films.
When RotJ was filmed Palps died and it was changed for TRoS (although technically he says that he has died before, so it wasn't retconned out as much as fudged around).

Regardless, your justification in this instance is deeply flawed. What I'm seeing is you picking apart how something was done when you don't like the result and ignoring it when it's something you do like. It's called a bias. It's ok, we all have them.

That being said, I have my doubts regarding how "carefully, thoughtfully and above all reasonably" the OT was put together. Everything I've heard about those films creation sounds like lots of pressure and uncertainty leading to a magical cluster@#$% that we all love.

I accept the alterations from the OT because it was Lucas's own creation to alter as he saw fit. But when a bunch of hackfrauds come along 30 years later and undo someone else's work just so they can rewrite it with a different ending, and a bad one no less, I reject it. If the new story wasn't a retarded mess, if the new characters were interesting and well developed, and if the new ending was satisfying and respectful of what came before, I would feel differently. Maybe some folks can "turn off their brains" and enjoy **** for what it is, but I reject **** for what it is.

Can we at least all agree that Yodas stick is better than bacon?
Nothing is better than bacon.

Exactly, it gets so boring to have to type the same stuff over and over and make it interesting when you're up against constant fansplaining. The thing that the Disney Kool Aid Gang dont get is that if you have to constantly point out that the thing they like is as bad as the thing you like even when they fail time after time after time to do so, they have already lost the argument.

The one you could give and said was the “big one” was explained by at least two characters.

...and I already watched to enough of the Mauler video to see that he didn’t have anything of substance to say. Quibbles, not plot holes.

And I have zero interest in watching some multi-part video he made about a different movie

Just thought I’d ask once, now I have my answer.

You and I both know that's not going to happen. You see the OT a certain way, and nothing going to change that. And you see Disney Star Wars a certain way and nothing is going to change that (and dare I say I don't think you want it to change)

But since your asking. How about Sly Snootles? Or little space bears defeating the Emperor's best legion?

Oh and Snowspeeder definitely hits it in the armor. I've watched slowed down numerous times to see.

Just give us your top plot hole.
