Personally I think I would have enjoyed it much more if everything just had more time to breathe. Everything was too fast, too many quick cuts. No time to linger and enjoy majestic shots of the ships and scenery. Which is one thing TLJ did very well. It was beautifully shot, and gave you time to appreciate what was on screen (for those of us who enjoyed the flick anyways). If TROS had been another half hour longer it would be improved immensely. I dont think anyone would have begrudged JJ for making a 3 hour movie to close out the saga.

I keep hearing how hard it must have been to solve all the problems from TLJ. That is true but they set out to make 3 films with no continuity, they actively wanted to upset the cart. They had the pick of the best people in the industry from all departments with a vertical buttonless budget compared to any normal film. I worked on all 3 Nolan batman films . They had no idea there was going to be a second film after we finished begins and the same thing after dark knight. Production didn't start till they had the idea locked down for each film. I can't say skywalker is good it's a mess and that was written in the stars before they even rolled the cameras. If your producer doesn't understand the material what hope do you have.
We all have are own opinion and for those that liked it I'm happy for you. I wish I did

How anyone can say the PT is better than the ST is beyond me. But, hey, to each his own. I'm sure my lack of enjoyment of those doesn't tarnish your opinion of them, and vice versa.
Yep. For me it’s the prevalence of fart and poop “jokes” (I use quotation marks as the scenes are so embarrassingly bad and unfunny that I can’t even call them proper jokes) that make the Prequels harder to go back to.

That and the acting/dialogue (the issue is some of each, I think). I’ll see your Kelly Marie Tran complaints and raise you a Jake Lloyd or Hayden Christensen.

I have my issues with the sequel trilogy, but nothing in any of them is as bad as the worst parts of the PT in my view. ...and yet, I still enjoy the PT movies quite a bit, for what they are.

Has it been confirmed if the sith audience was the souls of the sith, or actual people who lived on that planet?

How can anyone call this a Trilogy?

Well, it's comprised of three movies, sooo...

Yeah, that's definitely a strike against them, and that's coming from a guy who thought it was freaking HILARIOUS to play "Jingle Smells" (look it up) for my family while we were gathered for Christmas yesterday.

Discussing things I liked about this movie:

LANDO played by Billy D. Williams

I'd forgotten how much I love this character. I liked Lando in the Solo movie too, but Billy D. Really is something special. He's now old and I doubt we'll see him again playing the role.

I'm going to swing back a cold smooth Colt 45 this week just because.

I thought the Palpy thing was weird because, in the Zahn EU and the other MAJOR stories around the same time frame, I don't remember any Sith actually being concerned with getting lucky or having consorts. (I did not get the into Ancient Sith stuff ) I thought their being was so consumed with a lust of power and utter corruption that getting some booty was no longer a concern. That was the one thing that threw me. My wife laughed at me because of the face I made when they revealed that.

... What are you talking about? That is precisely when the "Palpatine has a harem" thing was introduced in the EU...

For example: Roganda Ismaren

Nobody is really talking about Zorii. I LOVE her character. She is incredibly sexy and strong. Her voice is like a dream to me, and when her visor is up and you can see her eyes :love: She stands out to me so much in this movie. Especially after the second viewing. Every time she's on screen I have a giant smile on my face.

Agreed, she should’ve had more screen time.

In my personal Edit, her and Poe go into the back of the Millennium Falcon and bring out the Hydrospanner.

At the moment I LOVE the idea that the Palpatine we saw in the ST was a CLONE all along and the DARTH SIDIOUS was the original. Furthermore that the EMPEROR Palpatine was a clone and we never really got to see DARTH SIDIOUS before Episode 9, building up his power and kind of preparing for an eternal reigning the galaxy through creating a perfect vessel for all Sith.

The Skywalkers would be a bump in the road that he had created as a test run.

Perhaps someone has pics of this, but I cannot find any decent pictures of the Emperor's guards on Exogol. I got the Visual Dictionary for the movie and disappointingly so, there's virtually nothing about Emperor Palpatine.

Lando's character arc in ESB is one of my favorites of the OT and totally under-appreciated. He's stuck between a rock and a hard place with no easy option presented to him, and Vader and company think they can easily exploit him. But in the end, he redeems himself by basically telling the Empire to **** off, and then proceeds to try to save Han and his friends.

Oh god, I’m so happy I never heard of this...then again Mara Jade was the “Emperor’s Hand”, so...:lol:
And she did start out as one of his consorts, until he realized how strong she was in the force and began training her. It's... not my favorite thing about her backstory.
