I like the cape idea too. But I can already hear the cries of "small universe, everythings too connected!"

Wouldn't surprise me at all if they just added a cape to the outfit and it has nothing to do with grandpa at all.

i dont mind the cape. i really liked the ripped hood, but changing it up for Ep8 doesnt bother me. im very excited to see kylo and his helmet upgrades!

As long as Kylo has the same helmet design as before, I'm happy.

100% on board with a Vader-esque cape, heck maybe even some armor too.

I hope it is the same helmet, and not just a replica. Even if he has tweaked and upgraded it. I love the mental image too much of Hux, at Snoke's order, going looking for Kylo, finding his helmet laying on the bridge, sighing, picking up after the boy, and going looking for him outside.

i always found it hard to believe the star wars characters only had 1 costume/uniform.... boba fetts armor changes and is different colors through the films. Vader's armor changes (though we all know this is because of the prop makers ) but in my head i always pretend its because the armor is upgraded or stored on a different ship. with the suit being all sweaty and dirty you switch out to another and send that one to the dry cleaner.

him having slight changes doesnt bother me at all.

I have to say... Mark Hamill looks so much healthier these days than he has in the last 10-15 years.
