If I don't get my preorder tickets to the midnight showing, I'm going to start throwing things.
they could tell us every single detail about the new star wars and it would not stop one person from going to see it ..

On the flip side, they could also not show a single frame and just put a Star Wars logo in front of us and it wouldn't stop anyone from going to see it.
If by "everyone" you both mean net-savvy sci-fi people like ourselves, then you're both right.
There are millions of other people out there who barely even know another SW movie is coming.
Actually I will challenge that assertion. This film has a pretty high awareness factor. Not only have the trailers been big online hits, but the pop culture magazine and news media are running stories, even CNBC has had a bunch of features on about SW and TFA's impact on Disney as a company. I have had so many people in my personal and professional life who are not fans but have asked me about the film.
I can't walk into a room of family or friends without
"so... you hear a new Star Wars is coming out?"
"SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!"
"I hear Luke is in it!"
"Luke SKYWALKER?!?!"
*wife beside me digs elbow in ribs*
Obviously...I never know how to react.
I had this really cute girl cut my hair last month that mentioned she had a Vader tattoo on her foot... I couldn't contain it after that. I went balls to the wall after that and slammed her with all sorts of Star Wars knowledge. Best hair cut of my life.
As they say on 4chan: "Pics or it didn't happen!"
;-)
I always try to let them have their excitement. I feel like I just ruin comments when I come in with my Star Wars obsession and dominate the conversation.
