Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release)

Any excuse to whip this out again.

I enjoyed the Sky Captain theatrical release. It was fun. I had no idea it was based off a short animation - which I just watched. :)
 
I'm just saying that with the proper direction, greenscreen can be used effectively and Sky Captain was shot completely in greenscreen. The only real elements in the entire movie were the actors and maybe a stray prop or two. It doesn't matter if the movie itself wasn't that good scriptually... what matters is that when it was finished it was very difficult to tell that everything you saw was all done on greenscreen. They pulled off a full blown movie with no backgrounds, no sets... just actors on a greenscreen, and to me, that was a pretty big deal seeing as it was the first time it had ever been attempted! When I see a movie anymore I really don't care about the story that much. The effects on the other hand are what draws me into it, and the guys behind that movie have to be given credit for pulling it off where no one had done so before.
 
Yeay!!,.....back to TFA,......I can't wait to see the familiar faces in the new trailer,.....I got my fix in the teaser with the Falcon.....now I need to see Han, Chewie, Luke & Leia

I kind of wore out that fix pretty fast. I still smile when I re-watch that trailer and see her in flight, but I need more. MORE! AGGH this waiting...

(actually, I just watched it again, and maybe I didn't wear it out yet...)

Official, no, they just have hinted about surprises. But all the most reliable SW news sites have all but confirmed from their various sources that there will be a 1:50 trailer and Making Star Wars has a break down if what is in it. And their source gave them an exact description of the first teaser, so confidence is high.

Yup, I've read all the rumors - I was just curious whether anything official had been announced. I guess I'll be in front of the computer Thursday... hopefully they have enough computer horsepower to back it up.
