Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release)

The marketing is inspired. Disney owned network with the most popular program in the ABC lineup hitting people the least likely to be as engaged by the upcoming films release.

I don't get it.

"Why aren't they releasing a trailer?"

"When do we get to see the trailer?"

"Are they ever going to release the trailer?"

"I'm so tired of waiting, hurry up with the trailer !"

*new trailer release announced for monday night football*

"Why are they releasing the trailer during Monday Night Football?"

I don't get it.

I'm just happy it's going to be out, no raining on my parade. I guess you just can't please some people.

I wonder when marketing on a network ever makes sense. I sometimes wonder if they just run some sort of randomizer program for commericals during any given show.

All graphic designers are ready to capitalize on the next trailer. Waiting with all their character art they've been working on and just waiting to plug in a new line for a trailer and offer them up starting tomorrow morning on T-Shirts....

I think the crossover between people who watch Monday night football and people who want to see the trailer isn't as slim as we might think. Both are unbelievably popular. There's maybe not much love for sports among adult prop enthusiasts, but on a national scale I think there is plenty of reason to air the trailer during the game.

Correct.

What do you suppose the OTHER ads during this game cost....seeing as how there are markets in NY and Phi with a built in viewership waiting to see this trailer?

So anxious about getting tickets. I won't see the trailer until my tickets are ordered. As soon as that trailer starts I will be at my computer hitting refresh until I see tickets available.

wow hectic morning here in Aus! After the cinemas website immediately crashed i had to haul ass into town and buy my tickets over the counter. phew back to bed now

The rumor was that there was going to be a 7:00 December 17th showing. It looks like that isn't the case - Fandango isn't even showing midnight screenings.

Nevermind... there are screenings starting at 7:00 on December 17th.

Likely because the "marathon" screenings have TFA showing at 7:00pm

That was confirmed a little while ago.

I have no idea where or when tickets are going up for sale in Canada... Here in Vancouver NO ONE seems to know.
