Hell, I'd play a background anything as long as they let me on the set! That's pretty cool! I would also just play a background X-Wing pilot as long as they let me sit in the cockpit. :lol
Man, that's what I love about guys like JJ. So much of the industry is "It's not show 'friends' it's show BUSINESS" but Abram's always looks out for his people. I love that him and Greg Grunberg have been making movies together since they were kids with a video camera. Seeing Greg show up in project after project... seeing old cast from his other shows show up in his movies, it's awesome.
There are a number of directors like that, notably Kevin Smith and Joss Whedon although with Whedon it's not so much as old friend as just people he's become friends with after working with them. I'd imagine that it's great to be an actor that's really good friends with a big A list director and/or actor with a lot of pull, you know that as long as they're working you'll have a job too.
I remember sitting with my buddy and watching the commentary to "Chasing Amy"... Even back then Kev Smith was very vocal about working with friends. Made me love him more, because that's ALL I wanted to do.
Judd Apatow/Seth Rogen and crew are another group that any casting comes up and it's all about friends... "We could probably get Michael Cera... or Craig Robinson... or...." That's how you want to do it.
I need a director buddy that drags me onto all the great projects, cuz I certainly am nowhere near that place career wise, heh.
Looking forward to spotting Amanda Foreman in Force Awakens! (Meghan from Felicity)

No future in "dead Han" toys? Well, considering the fact that with Han in Carbonite it wasn't clear if he was gonna come back for RotJ, and considering how many HiC gadgets are being sold, I guess GL might have been mistaken.I guess a bunch of money changed Harrison Ford's mind from what he said over 4 years ago in an interview:

I'm avoiding story spoilers and am not privy to any sort of inside info, but frankly I've got a feeling we've got that coming our way.
Me too. That is exactly what I think is coming and at least one reason why Harrison may have come back. Other reasons could have been, disappointing his co-stars, money, fans but I think they (the Producers) may have had to promise that they kill off Han.

I hope that is the case, then Han may last through the entire new trilogy. That would be wonderful.
