Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release)

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

I dunno, but I can NOT stop watching that guy. He tromps over and jerks that saber off so violently...he's like the Leatherface of Sith Lords. Primal and ferocious. I love the whole body language thing. Hopefully there will be less lightsaber ballet and more down and dirty FIGHTING. Here's my campaign: no backflips in 2015!

OK...I'm proud of myself for letting that second sentence pass :lol.

Speaking of the saber fighting, does anyone know if Nic Gillard is involved in any capacity?
I just thought of that today.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

You know, got to thinking, that voice said something like "Light Side. Dark Side..." I was waiting for him to say "They're both wrong." I wonder if this is continuing the theme from the EU about the real Force is gray, not light or dark?

Hahahahah the Sith Lord feels like I did after seeing the trailer apparently. I swear, after 4 hours I was gonna call my doctor :lol

I hope Nic G. is not involved. I really want to see something a little more earthy.

The body language is very much why the comparison works. Look at the gait and how Gwen Christie moves her arms in the GoT clip. You can't say that the two clips are dissimilar in that regard.

ROFL! Just for that, you get an Internet Gold Star and a reposted video.

I'm feeling the love :D

That video is AMAZING btw! So true. People gushed over the fights in the TPM and I was always like...there was fighting?!

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

I almost forgot. This was from Rebelscum, SW artist Tom Hodges drew what is supposed to be the new TIE Pilot. It looks like they kind of shaped the top like some of the new modern flight helmets with the HUD inside. I actually like this one:

For those worried about the chest box on the xwing pilots. I did find this image that confirms that it is similar to the OT. Capture.JPG

Thats what I said…about 4 pages ago! The Force was in "balnce" post ROTJ but the Force never should be in balance. Nature abhors a vacuum. The Force need light and dark always inn conflict to actually be in balance.

Sounds like Bhttp://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Crossguard_lightsaberoyegas character is being hunted by a probe droid! Why?? Why the trooper armor?
Because he's a Stormtrooper. And in the process of deserting. Keep up. :p

Regarding Kira's speeder. It's not a racer or swoop, it's a hauler. Appropriate for the salvager she apparently is.

As for the lightzweihander, again the crossguard is not a new thing. If anthing, I'm immensely grateful the folks working on this film have such a deep love for and unddrstanding of the universe and its history that a detail like fhis makes it in, almost exactly as depicted in the EU.

Except by that logic, the Force was out of balance post ROTJ, as the Emperor and Vader were dead and Luke was alive.

Technically, The Force was in balance at the beginning of ANH as there were two Sith (Palps and Vader) and two Jedi (Kenobi and Yoda). Then Farmboy had to go and screw it all up by setting into motion events that led to the lack of Sith and only one Jedi.

I just want to see a 60+ year old Luke pound on some Sith ass! + Hopefully JJ will make up for the Greedo shooting first garbage! Show Han for who we've always known him to be!

A prophecy misread… :)

Someone posted a VERY compelling argument that the saber-wielding person in black in the teaser is Gwendoline Christie...

Here's the argument:

I can definitely see it.

Gwen is an elite Stormtrooper hunting down Boyega and Ridely. Driver is the Sith wanna be. As per MANY reports about her being in chrome ST armor in concept art.

The full wording is "There has been an awakening. Have you felt it?" "The Dark Side... and the Light." So... no.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

I have a crazy theory. Did you hear the regular Luke style lightsaber ignite at the end at the very very end of the clip?? It must have meaning. I mean the trailer shows all kinds of chaos and darkness and then at the end.. That sound. Like something is gonna intervene. I hope to God we see a movie where it's chaos and disruption and darkness and we think the movie is gonna end on a bad note like empire and then Luke is back and completely wrecks everything.. Almost God like.. like in the crappy force unleashed but believable. I wan't him to be the Jules/rambo that just lays waste to the bad guys... I dunno. you know?? I dunno....
