STAR WARS Rebels new animated series!

on the subject of the lightsaber blade. i too am curious how hers are white.. did she find 2 rare white kyber crystals??? is mace windu's purple saber still canon in the way he found a rare purple crystal?

Based in n what we discussed earlier in the thread, the crystals obtain their color when first obtained by their Jedi, once the color has set, that's it. They are not mood crystals. :wacko

KYBER CRYSTAL (LIGHTSABER CRYSTAL)

At the of every Jedi lightsaber is a kyber crystal found on several planets, most notably the icebound caves of Ilum. This crystal is attuned to the Force, and connected to a Jedi Knight on a deeply personal level. In this way, a lightsaber is an extension of a Jedi's Force awareness. Because Jedi let the Force guide their selection of the crystal, the vibration that the crystal creates in the lightsaber blade helps Jedi center themselves and find balance in the Force. In this way, a Jedi can center his or her attention beyond the distractions of combat. A lightsaber crystal is colorless until first attuned and connected to a Jedi -- at which times it glows either blue or green, or in some rare instances, another shade. From that point on, it retains that hue.

The black lightsaber is one of the dumbest things I've seen in SW. The white lightsabers aren't far behind.

I thought it was cool. I took it to be one of the earliest light sabers ever created. maybe using something no longer found anymore, hence why the saber is black. then they found the kaiburs and there you have your standard sabers ;)

the dark saber didn't brother me, because i as well was under the impression its a old artifact. i did not know about the crystal being clear until connected with the jedi ( well youngling) and then it glows it color. thanks for sharing

Just caught up on the last two episodes. Liked Stealth Strike alot, no so much the one with the Force babies.

Question: In Stealth Strike, that admiral with the blonde hair, long nose and long sideburns--why does he look so familiar to me? With those 1970s sideburns, is he being portrayed as someone who was an Imperial in the OT?

I like to think that some time after leaving the Jedi, Ahsoka for some reason felt that she needed a light sabers and she went built herself new blades, finding new crystals and because of her having no alignment to the light side that the crystals just stayed colourless, hence the white sabers.

That's pretty much what I assume as well.

Didn't Dave say exactly that? I think it was in a previous Rebels Recon. She changed the saber color.
