Star Wars: Outlaws

Intrigued, yes.

However, hopefully they can port it to PC much better than EA. And hopefully they don't have a segment of the game bugged with no fix (bounties).

And....a game trailer that's 100% animation without even using the game engine, and no gameplay....does nothing for me in relation to a game.

It's probably still relatively early in the game's development, too early for any actual gameplay footage. I imagine that we'll get some in game footage when the game's closer to its release date.

Eckhat's Ladder has a breakdown of the trailer and what he thinks we can expect from the game based on the trailer. He also says that Ubisoft will be having a presentation tomorrow where they will got into more detail on this game.

Any word on this one?

Not sure why trailers get put out before the games are even guaranteed to be released...

You wanted in game footage? Well, here it is.

Looks interesting. If I was them I would have a small team grinding out a Jedi combat system using this as their test bed. Looks like they have created a nice foundation for being able to quickly put out yearlyish releases after this game.

To go along with the gameplay footage video, the game devs at Ubisoft have also released a video that kind of breaks down the gameplay footage video. They go over what's happening the video, a bit more on the background the protagonist, Kay, and they also discuss some of the gameplay mechanics.

Here's a video that summarizes everything that was mentioned across the several Ubisoft Forward videos about this game. From the sounds of it, there's going to be a lot to it. But there's no word on character customization outside of us being able to mod and upgrade Kay's blaster and possibly her ship.

Ubisoft needs this to be a hit. If it is, they can retire ass creed and replace it with star wars. The big value being all the assets stack on top of each other each project, so you can keep growing the size and scope of what you can do. You don't need to remake the same vehicles/ships/weapons/droids/architecture/armor....the list goes on. They can make the smuggler game, the mando game, the jedi game, the sith game. The difference being combat systems and story telling.

I just spent half a minute figuring out what 'ass creed' was.

Ass Creed.... I like it. (I hate those games with a passion)

Star wars galaxies is still more open world, they seem to forget that it had space also. Everything they described as being unique you could do 20 years ago in SWG solo or with other players.

Same. Except for Black Flag. That was the only one I dug. And even in that one, I hated doing all the assassin related missions.
