Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi (tv series)

That is exactly my theory but it is Vader who catchs a glimpse of Obi-Wan instead. I think Vader will go after Obi-Wan without a direct confrontation of the two. Maybe one or two chats through the Force, that should be acceptable. In ANH he mentions he feels Obi's presence, he may do so here. That might make him send out the GI to investigate. He even could pursue Obi with his TIE and blast his N-1 out of the sky, believing Obi did not survive the crash, but I don't see any way they could meet in person. However, when I watch the scene from ANH it does not seem that Vader is very surprised to meet Obi again. Of course they haven't met for a long time but I have always assumed Vader knew that Obi was still alive and that he was still waiting for the cycle to complete.
Unfortunately I think they will meet face to face, and probably duel. There’s no way Disney holds back

Yeah it’s confirmed another duel is coming. Ewan even recently talked about seeing Hayden in the armor, etc. I’m still surprised LFL was willing to spoil that there even is a rematch but that was divulged pretty early on. The only way around it is if this duel is actually a dream or vision but I’m leaning against that being the case at this point.

Has anyone also considered that the need for Inquisitors not only diminishes the threat of Vader and the Emperor but that of the Stormtroopers and the Imperial Navy along with them? Think about it. Order 66 saw the Jedi slaughtered because they outnumbered the Jedi. The Empire won through numbers as much as they did by the threat of violence with the Death Star. It's just something to consider how these new installments potentially weaken the existing narrative.
That and order 66 was a massive sneak attack.

I'd wager if I was trusted by a jedi and a chip triggered in my head while i was standing behind him, i could shoot him in the back before he knew what hit him. Especially if he was already engaged with battle droids or whatever.

The other thing would be, how many survived the order 66? 5? 10? 50? The higher that number goes the more sense a squad to hunt them down makes sense. One guy can't track down a bunch of people at once and when it's one guy, it lets word get to the others quicker so they can hide better or form an army to defend themselves. Plus, you wouldn't want troopers or agents to do the finding because they'd lack the ability to capture or kill them, you'd want someone capable of doing the job.

If your establishing an Empire, i'd think the #2 guy in the equation has better things to do than just hunt jedi.

Oh, and did i miss something in the trailer? Where is it said another survivor is seeking him out? I thought that was just speculation?

As much as I enjoy new media from one degree to the next, I can't shake the feeling expressed in this video that things need to end. Despite my enjoyment of some PT and ST stories, those need never existed. Albeit, the PT when you look at George Lucas interviews at least have some storytelling qualities that are designed to have an actual, meaningful message.

Here's my favorite George Lucas quotes:

Yeah, they really run the risk of screwing up or diluting existing lore, at least more than they have.

I never liked the Disney/Filoni-era Inquisitors. Prior to that, I viewed the Inquisitorius to be more of an arm of Imperial intelligence, alerting Vader to Jedi fugitives. I never liked the goofy "sister/brother" nomenclature nor the notion that the Inquisitors themselves were taking out these fugitive Jedi on their own.

Exactly! They had some Force ability, but they weren't meant to fight a fully trained Jedi. They could maybe mop up a Padawan. However we're supposed to believe that Obi-Wan Kenobi, who defeated one of the best Jedi duelists in modern times, Anakin Skywalker, would see the Inquisitors as a threat! It's silly and shows how much Lucasfilm cares about canon or a good story. And I swear to god if any of those Inquisitors, in a live action show, start flying around using their lightsabers as a helicopter, I will never watch a new SW movie/show ever again! The whole spinning lightsaber thing didn't slow Obi-Wan down with Grievous, so I don't think it's an effective weapon. Disney said it's because the Inquisitors don't have the dueling ability, apparently spinning overwhelms an opponent...

Well, I mean…There’s probably not a whole lot of hobby options on that planet. And we can see he at least stuck to it in adulthood!

I have to say even as a stylized cartoon I don't like his look. The live action version looks even worse. Tion Meddon looked pretty cool but I didn't like the other Palo Alta'ns (or whatever their species name was lol). The others in ROTS looked like cheapo monster masks from a Halloween store. Tion looked really cool and his sculpt clearly had the most attention paid to it. I think the key to making Tion's look cool was Bruce Spence's facial structure. He's already very tall and lanky with a long, angular face. That design isn't necessarily going to translate well to other face shapes.

While we're discussing Inquisitors it's clear that the one guy with the hat that resembles a rattan coolie is clearly inspired by the concept art for General Grievous. I do like the costume and leather armor components of the female Inquisitor. Despite my dislike of the Inquisitors for the story, I really do think her design looks totally badass.
