I figured he could sense that it wasn't natural. Now we know that he's been to the Alderaan system before, and would possibly know that there wasn't a moon like that there.
Exactly! He knew because he's observant and smart and has the Force. It doesn't need explaining.
Not sure but given he could use the force and we as an audience didnt know what the force was or how it worked, he could have sensed there were a ton of people on the death star and it was no “mere moon”.I have heard rumors about a season 2, but nothing official yet.
Was just thinking, as far as I remember, Obi-Wan never knew anything about the death star, so his whole, thats no moon line, while a classic, really makes you wonder how he knew.
But, maybe if they do season 2, he could get a very brief word from someone that the empire is currently working on a secret massive weapon.
But I wouldn't want him to see it, a picture, or anymore details than that.
So by the time hes there on the Falcon trying to get Luke to Alderaan, that little memory would come back to him realizing that what the person said, was in fact true.
Just a thought.
Maybe one of the books or comics already covered that. Not sure.
I suppose theres that as well. Not sure but given he could use the force and we as an audience didnt know what the force was or how it worked, he could have sensed there were a ton of people on the death star and it was no “mere moon”.
The force can detect living beings since the force “connects us” and it provides a “danger sense” or “foresight” which is why Anakin can drive a pod racer with only 2 hands and why jedi have insane reflexes to deflect blaster bolts. These could he reasons why Obi Wan knows the Death Star is trouble.
The plans were on the giant screen or a holo (i forget) when he was on whatever that moon planet was Utappu? in ROTS when he was looking for Greivous? Or was it on Geonosis? One of those two (i haven't watch the prequels since they came came out really).I have heard rumors about a season 2, but nothing official yet.

The plans were shown on Geonosis at the end of AOTC, but not when Obi-Wan was watching. The plans were on the giant screen or a holo (i forget) when he was on whatever that moon planet was Utappu? in ROTS when he was looking for Greivous? Or was it on Geonosis? One of those two (i haven't watch the prequels since they came came out really).
I did think of that, but not sure if he ever saw that. Can't remember though. The plans were on the giant screen or a holo (i forget) when he was on whatever that moon planet was Utappu? in ROTS when he was looking for Greivous? Or was it on Geonosis? Obi-Wan wasn't present in that scene.
No, that will be Ahsoka. The Jedi that everywhere, and nowhere at the same time.Disney: "Or was he..."
Or The fact a Moon doesn't usually leave the lights on.He knew because he's observant and smart and has the Force. It doesn't need explaining.
That's season 2 of Obi-Wan. He decides to travel around, and winds up on a freighter delivering supplies to the shipyard where they're building it.Disney: "Or was he..."
...and then decides against it because he remembers he is supposed to be keeping an eye out for Luke Skywalker who is hiding on a backwater planet that nobody ever, ever, ever goes to and that gallivanting around the galaxy would be a dereliction of that dutyThat's season 2 of Obi-Wan. He decides to travel around, and...
Except for The Mandalorian, Boba Fett, Third Sister Reva, Darth Maul, Ezra Bridger, Rey, Cobb Vance, R2D2, C3PO, BB8, and a guy named Lou, who sold moisture vaper insurance.. a backwater planet that nobody ever, ever, ever goes to![]()

I for one am going to start my kids on the OT. It will be interesting to see if it takes. See if my love for it will rub off.
I don't know feel like..I was the same way. I always thought that part was really boring as a kid (I was 3yo in 1980), mainly because it was slow and I don't think I really got what it meant. I absolutely loved Cloud City, the way it looked, so I was always wanting to get to that part.
