Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi (tv series)

I went back several pages and didn't see anything mentioned about it, or maybe I'm just dense LOL, but has anyone else noticed that they kept the "seam" on Vader's helmet tubes between the top and bottom parts and didn't go back to the OT style?

So, is Reva going to return and face Vader, only to glance over at Obi Wan, raise her Saber in front of her, and be struck down allowing our heros to escape?...

I had to go back and look at what i saw. He stops the whole thing in circle format when she is spinning it. He freezes it, then force pulls it to himself. When the camera shot shows him with it in his hands it's not in circle form anymore(weird) and he appeares to snap it(or i thought). The saber appears longer now with theses two handles pointing up(looks nothing like the saber he actually pulled). I must of thought he busted it but now i think it was just multiple edits thrown together. Anyways, i never knew the saber actually came apart like that.
I thought broken because the two halves didn't have full half circles with them, just a portion - hence, he broken it and the remaining ring bits went elsewhere.

It’s a dumb as trying to believe that Boba Fett, the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy, who kills people without a second thought and trusts no one, would settle down with his new bestie and bring honesty and justice to Tatooine.

Oh…wait…
who'd he ever kill before Mando S2? In movies, no one. Which is all the overwhelming majority of viewers know about him - the movies.

It was more implied. It's incredible how much can be inferred by a cool costume and very little dialog. It's a testament to the brilliance of the costume design that you can create a backstory for him in your mind just by looking at him. Which is why the more they try to flesh him out in a long-form script the less interesting he becomes. Then again he was a bit part and never needed anything more added to him.

I don’t understand all the confusion with Leia and Ben/Obi-Wan and her hologram message to him in ANH.

I don’t see how what she says in her hologram message in ANH shows definitively either that she did previously know him or she never knew him. I feel, personally, her message is neutral on their relationship.

I see what she says more as her ‘reminding’ Kenobi of his relationship with her father to help persuade him to help her father. She’s ’buttering him up’ reminding him of his prior actions first then asking for his help again.

Plus, in the cell when Luke rescues her she seems really excited that Ben Kenobi is there on the Death Star.
Right there with you on this.

To me, Leia was not assuming that the great Jedi master who saved her as a child would even remember her. Leia was being humble in her request in ANH. Her assumption would be that Kenobi would hardly remember her amongst the countless others he helped and saved over the decades, so she instead mentions her father, who was the one to task him with saving her anyway, and had much more history with Kenobi than she ever did.

First off, there should be a confused Emoji on here.

Second, now some how since this episode aired we all have this epiphany of what the " real" intent of Leia's message in ANH was? Sounds to me like it's stretching on a major scale to say, oh yeah..that's what she meant, when I was a little girl and saved all those people by opening the hatch and held " Obi-Wan/Ben's " hand and went with him on the truck when he saved me so he probably doesn't remember me at all, when ANH came out in 1977!!! How come on these forums or anywhere else before even having knowledge of this show coming out that No one...I mean, No one talked about at length about the possibility of Leia meeting Kenobi after 1977s ANH message? If this show never had Owk meeting Leia how many of you would be carrying your pitch forks and staves demanding why he and Leia never met? How many would say

" come on, can you believe the writers never had Kenobi leave Luke and look after Leia "

But now you defend it like its fact and that it totally makes sense. It does not.

They pulled the old Ruin Johnson tactic of do everything the opposite of what most rational people believe and think to pull off a surprise moment...like " I am your father". They try to do that on purpose to be different even at the expense of the plot. " they won't be expecting this" is their no.1 goal. " we don't want to be predictable " . Well then stop trying to connect dots that don't need connecting especially when point A and point B are already known in the first place.

They seriously could rewrite everything simply by saying Kenobi had an affair with Padme and the twins are actually Kenobi's not Skywalker's. As silly and sick as it sounds, they will do whatever they want to create their own narrative whether it makes sense or not.

Her saber is designed to come apart, Vader didn't break it. Her separating saber was leaked weeks ago when her BS action figure was introduced.

To me, that implies broken. When whole, the ring is 360 degrees around. That's like 15 degrees on each side, so, where's the other 330 degrees? That's where people see broken. If they want to show it came apart, they should have a shot with a bunch of that ring retracting into the 15 degree section and then separating. They didn't. I'd have taken the 30 seconds to show that as opposed to her 2 minute parkour routine over the roof tops that did nothing at all.
