And we find out that Luke crashed his X-wing in a lake of Yoda’s tears.Dagobah was not really a swamp planet until Yodas arrival and cried for the next few decades causing the planet to become a swamp like we know it now.And in a surprise twist Yoda somehow became pregnant and gave birth to Grogu,missing his child really brought a flood of tears.The snakes and lizards of Dagobah will pass down the tale of Yoda to their future generations.

I remember the early fan theories that Dagobah was once Naboo, back before The Phantom Menace came out. I thought that was an interesting concept. I theorized that perhaps Naboo was the unlucky test subject of the developing Death Star project and as a result it didn't destroy the planet but left what was once a lush paradise into a dank swamp due to the destruction the weapon caused. The people that survived the blast abandoned the planet as it was mostly inhospitable. That's why Yoda hid there after the fall of the Republic, because most people assumed the place was dead.

I never really understood the genesis of that theory unless people really latched onto the notion that Naboo also had swampy aquatic areas. I remember one of the weirder ones being that Jodie Foster being considered for Boba Fett. Yep, Fett was an adult and...a woman! Expectations subverted!!!

I love hearing weird theories like this, because I wasn’t exactly around for the OT in theaters, so the PT was pretty much ironclad canon for me growing up. Until probably high school. I only vaguely remember hearing some stuff around the time ROTS was about to come out, just people trying to piece together Vader’s injuries from ESB and ROTJ and I think Owen’s line about from ANG about “Luke’s father working on a spice freighter”, just the thinnest of stuff.

I remember I had a special issue of Cinescape magazine in 1998 that had a lot of spoilers that ended up being pretty accurate to what the movies were. Despite my reservations about the Prequels now, that period was a really exciting time to be a fan. The hype was palpable.

Totally agree! I have never been so rabid for SW as I was in the mid/late 90s. Such a fun time, even if the movies turned out to be lackluster.

I assume this was merely a theory or unsubstantiated rumor because I never heard any more about it but I remember in the build up to RotS that it was to be revealed that Obi-wan's real name was "Ben" and that "Obi-wan" was a name given to him by the Jedi. There supposedly would be a scene where Anakin teases him about his birth name. Nothing ever came of it but I rather liked the notion that "Ben" wasn't an alias but in fact Kenobi's given name. It would've perhaps been appropriate to shed his Jedi name in his post-Jedi life beyond merely going into hiding. I also always thought the similarity in naming format for "Qui-gon Jinn" and "Obi-wan Kenobi" was potentially interesting but if George ever had any designs or intentions for this, I guess we'll likely never know.

Dare I say it,I finally liked a episode of OWK.We were treated to “Force Unleashed” Vader stopping a ship in flight and pulling it down.Pai Mei (Kill Bill) Vader making Reva’s sword skill’s seem amateur at best.It was also awesome to learn that one can take a lightsaber to the gut and walk it off like a champ,hell Reva has done it twice now GI once.For the first time in the series it looks like OWK’s testicals finally dropped.

Is it just me or was the CGI on Hayden horrible, he looked older than Ewan.Thank goodness Tala was there to give OWK a good “after school special” pep talk.

I was surprised by that. He didn't look like he had been de-aged at all.

What it did show was what it would have been like if Anakin had been older in the prequels. I think a more mature Anakin with more worldly experience would have made a more interesting character - one who really had to weigh the consequences of his decisions (and had a rather tortured fall to the Dark Side, rather than acting impulsively).
