Star Wars Exhibit back in Southern California

Here's the full set of pictures I took at the exhibit. I probably won't leave these on my site too long since the take up a lot of space. Unfortunately the lighting wasn't great for taking pictures and the reflections on the glass limited the angles some models could be photographed from. Hope these are helpful.

Doug,
Thank you for the photos.
I was at the Phili exhibit and not all of my pictures turned out as good as I had hoped.

I was in So. Cal right before this exhibit opened. Talk about bad timing! I hope they bring items from the Archives to Celebration 6. They're always impressive to see.

I've been to 2 of these things over the years and never seen a 1/24 X-wing. Looks like another no-show here, sadly (and only the Bill George Y, by the look of it). Which makes me worry about Red 2's continued existence, as it's probably the only presentable model left for a show like this, what with Red 3's wings being busted.

Great to see the 4ft Imperial Cruiser is present, though. I'd love to see that.

Regarding the presentation of the show, I have to quibble with the tendency to stick models like the sandcrawler and taun in front of giant distracting photo blow-ups... makes the models harder to read.

I tried to take the wife and kid on Friday, but by 10:30am the place was a zoo, so I bought tickets online and we went at 9 this morning. Nothing like waiting until the last day. That said, we got in pretty quickly.

I could have spent all day in there just staring, but my 5-year-old blasted through the place pretty quickly and then was ready to go. Darn kids. I did coax a few more minutes out of him. Maybe next time I get a chance to go, he'll be more appreciative.

I think either you guys have spoiled me, or the stormtrooper armor was a replica, because I was a little underwhelmed at the lack of detail on the display set.

What didn't disappoint was the big Falcon. I kept going back to it over and over. What a work of art.

My two regrets are that I didn't get to stay longer, and that I didn't wear my RPF T-shirt.

I did see one guy taking super-macro photos of the Falcon's battle damage. Which one of you was it? ;)

Nope - it's a real ROTJ Stormtrooper. That's just the way the look.

The Falcon is really unbelievable. I also really like the giant X-Wing.

Wanted to go twice, but just couldn't make it work.

I was there (in Biker Scout) for the VIP opening and HOLY crap .. sooo many props in there!!!

Would anyone be interested in getting a list of what's in there? With pics maybe?
Haha!

Darn, I was hoping to get more reference for my project. I'm thinking though they might have stopped having it in exhibits, from what I've seen it looks like it was starting to fall apart from all the traveling.
