It has to be the man in black. Ever since Empire when I saw the helmet come down on that bald ugly head of his I have wanted to have it. I love his costume tough because there are many small modules to this costume that really make up the whole.
With or without mask, it's why I love Leia I guess. It's a labor of love, keen attention to detail and really makes her unique looking, mysterious, androgynous at first but tough-lady in the end. More than the metal bikini slave outfit (done to death by cosplaying girls all around the glove, it's sexy but also easy scoring like some other "sexy" outfits these days...) this made Leia appealing to me as a kid. Feminine, tough, cool, sexy.
Now I got my "own" Leia walking around and I'd make her a Boushh outfit for comic cons and I will walk around as Wookie.
This is a very difficult question, there are so many good costumes! But I'm going to go with Hoth Luke (Bespin being a close second). So warm and cozy, and such a good looking figure back in 1980.
I'm a big fan of the outfit Biggs wore in the Toshi Station deleted scene: riding boots, brown slacks, blue shirt, and white racing jacket. Also, a cape. Nothing says space fashion like a great space cape. I'll bet Lando would have approved.
ANH Vader ,The first time I saw him in Time magazine I became just an instant fan , The second time I saw him was on the big screen he didn't just walk into the hallway of a ship he walked into a 12 year old boys imagination . The most sinister of the Vaders and the most mysterious by far .
Boba Fett might have been "all hat and no cattle" but from the moment you see him, you're intrigued. The character obviously looks like he's been there, done that, and gotten the t-shirt. The fact that he only had what, three lines, only made him more mysterious.
How between not really being talented enough to make these myself and not having the money to buy properly made replicas, I guess it will remain a dream...this book would be a great alternative though!
For me there is nothing more Iconic than the Stormtroopers. Other outfits can be Star Wars, or allude to Star Wars, but the Stormtrooper is it straight out. And it is only iconic because of the helmet.
For me, this costume resumes the essence of Star Wars, dirty, almost dystopian, and... kinda antiquated, but at the same time, advanced aesthetic that we all love and characterizes the original trilogy. Most importantly, does it's job perfectly, the Tusken people are "sand people " and this costume fits that category perfectly, and of course is incredibly believable being Tatooine their home planet.
I gotta go with the AT-ST driver. It is cool and the helmet is major wonky. I love that these guys get to drive around in a "chicken walker" and shoot bad guys. I am building the costume and this is the first PEP file I have ever tried (helmet). I can't wait to be my very own AT-ST driver. And a free book sounds great too
My favorite costume is Luke in ROTS.
It's very dramatic costume, because the costume color is black as a signal the danger of temptation of the Dark Side when Luke has attained a high level of power.
